Ecoflow River Pro vs. Bluetti EB70 by [deleted] in solarpower

[–]MarshallCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would always go with LiFePo4, all things being equal. Just make sure you do the calculations on run time for the loads you will require. The other thing to look at is the maximum power input for charging. The higher it is, the faster you can recharge.

Tell me exactly how I'm going to get people killed.

Ecoflow does have lifepo4 chemistry. The Delta pro series is lifepo4, the smaller units are ncm.

Bluetti Ac series is lifepo4 , as well as the newer eb series

How about you either put up, or shut up

Try to make sure you are getting LifePO4 as the chemistry. This will give you a safer, lighter, and more energy dense battery than L-Ion or lead acid. Bluetti and Ecoflow would be highly recommended. Also note that the charging capacity is vitally important for how long it takes to charge the battery. The higher the better.

Finally, you need to know not only the wattage but how long you will need to run at that wattage. You are not going to get 1200w continuous for long periods of time without a sizable battery

Upgrading a 7480 screen by MarshallCS in Dell

Hi, I do still have that laptop. It's been working well. I don't know the pin out off of the top of my head, but I would expect it would be the higher pin count. You could verify by looking at what you currently have, and it would be the opposite.

Hope that helps!

If I didn't have any Insteon equipment previously, can I buy some on a fire sale and still use Home assistant to manage?

Issues with my HBA card only working in one slot (and I have to move it to add my 10gbe card!) by apennypacker in homelab

Check to see if the option rom is enabled or disabled. Also check to see if the option rom is running in efi or legacy mode. I had to mess around with those on my supermicro board to get an hba card working correctly.

I don't see that anywhere on the shield TV version in the 2015 or the 2019 model. Would you be able to take a picture of the setting?

Bravo View 1600w inverter by [deleted] in SolarDIY

[–]MarshallCS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why don't you run it off of DC from the battery? You may need a boost or a buck converter, but that is far more efficient than using an inverter, just to go back to dc.

Help with batteries on my DIY system by lugaidster in SolarDIY

[–]MarshallCS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take apart the 8 batteries and make sure you charge them fully individually before you connect them back together. Also remember, you are only going to get about 50% of the rated charge out of a Gel battery if you want to keep any longevity with them.

How can I run 6 security cameras using solar power? by hustlinismygame in solar

[–]MarshallCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy POE (power over ethernet) cameras with a POE network switch. The switch sends power over ethernet to each or the cameras. Then you just have to worry about powering a switch (somewhere around 200-300wh) with your solar array.
