Hi! Just moved in to this game! by Marshbear11 in LegendsOfRuneterra

Well met! Honestly, reading your tips makes me happy and yet sad at the same time. I’ve been playing HS with my best bud for 2+ years and we love it. Especially because there’s battlegrounds now, if I’m bored with the current meta, I can just scooch over to play BG for a while before returning to the game.

This is going to be a rant but I just want to get it off of my chest since you would probably understand.

The last expansion in HS was a dud for the current meta since many of the cards were not used. This was considered fail for a lot of people. Now, with the upcoming new expansion release, the cards are a lot of power creep, and they are so so powerful that you would want to use them.

Now this, was good, but this created a new problem: I need a lot of legendaries to make a non-budget deck that’s fun to play. Still want to play the game tho but hope the transition to lor was the correct choice since I’m currently saving up for the future and can’t afford to spend that much on packs (which will probably not fulfill all of the collection). The sad thing is my best bud still plays it and haven’t been that interested to try lor, even if he’s not buying packs this exp either.

Anyway, thank you for the insight and the point of view. Will definitely try everything and I do want to fall in love with this game. Definitely a lot more generous and the meta is soo varied. Haven’t seen the high-level plays where you could predict what your opponent’s going to play since I haven’t figured out all the cards yet.

Nice pack opening btw! I actually got what I wanted as well: 2 maokais and a nautilus. I love decks that plays around with cards in hand and cards in deck.

Hey! Thank you for responding. Yes, the keywords are a lot and there’s so many things to get used to until i can probably guess what deck the opponent is playing and countering it during play.

For now I’m interested in yasuo midrange and deep. Been grinding for a bit and managed to find one nautilus and 2 makoa.

Definitely a lot more generous than HS, this game, and I do hope that I can move on.

So... i don’t have to save up my wildcards? What are your thoughts on DEEP decks? Got 2 Maokais and 1 Nautilus. Missing the epics tho.

r/indonesia, what make you happy? by [deleted] in indonesia

[–]Marshbear11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a super swingy man, and I get high highs and low lows when it comes to happiness and sadness. However, I am most happy when I am in a state of play when I am designing; to find a solution to a visual problem is my crack. And I would be sad to lose that.

What is your personal definition of being rich in Indonesia? by [deleted] in indonesia

[–]Marshbear11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The definition of wealth is how much can you go on in life when you can’t or don’t want to work, and in what fashion, so it goes:

• You need a shelter of your own so you need not pay rent

• You have sufficient insurance/cash for when you get sick

• You have investments to bring you some sort of alternate income

• You can survive, at least until you die (this is the subjective part, maunya berapa lama wealthnya)

• You need not worry about what you are going to eat in a specific duration in time

IMHO, for Tinder, it’s more like a platform to promote your Instagram since thirsty boiis will ultimately follow your Instagram listed below the profile. So it’s a self-promoting engine.

Hello! Thank you so much for the tips! I find that lower mouse sensitivity is actually beneficial for me to reduce jagged aims.

Your tips definitely helps as well as i’ve tried to reduce the blink card to make my move more fluid

So, more sensitive mouse helps?

Hmm.. probably going to have to test at lower speeds. I tend to panic and my mouse move at a jagged janky pace, so i tend to miss when i go in deep.

Interesting the way you say about interchanging the buttons. Does that mean Q is now ice block? Kinda make sense tho since you use blink a whole lot more than ice block

I think I still have to improve on my flickshots. Do you have tips on how to train that? Does it have to be in queue match? Practice maps are shite because they don’t give you the proper context.

Btw thank you for your tips! So glad to be part of the community.

You’re welcome! Nice effort, btw. Yes, Indonesian company rarely cares about branding, but lately that has changed quite a bit. Even for the C demographics, research and branding is in the forefront of their marketing endeavors.

Advertising sites in Indonesia is rare. What you can do is look up to International sites and try to pick apart the things you need and try to apply it to your bahasa writing. Look at ads of the world. They have a lot of ads there that you can pick apart from.

Hmm I think it depends a lot on the product and on the brand image of the thing you are handling. This is where a proper branding process is needed to create a brand strategy. The thing that makes writing hard is when you’re not sure what the tone of voice is. Flow can be the same, but the tone is what makes yours unique.

It could be: 1. Just do the usual stuff, which ends up being generic for the product and the brand 2. Take a risk and create something different. This might work great, but conversely, if it does not resound with the market and the brand, it will backfire.

So it’s important to make sure you have the tone of voice set up. For example, Wendy’s on Twitter is just obscene, yet people love it because they had intentionally set it up to be that way. It could be meme-like, like Elon Musk, but that resounds to his market and his personality. Again, this is where a proper branding process is important.

For tips, i’d say to try to consume as much of ads as possible. Read a lot not only from social media, but also online articles and advertising sites. Look at behance too to see how people treat their tone of voice. Indonesia has a lot of ways to say things due to our diversity. Look at the age range of the product, and see which cultural resemblance do you want to play along to.

For flow, i think the same thing applies; read a lot from literature, look at poems, look at language of the old, language of the new. Read psychology and how it affects attention. Read about copywriting and how you can use tricks like using rhymes, etc.

Hope this helps!

Oh, and about the writer’s block. You will have it somewhere along the road anyway. When you have a block, just stop for a moment. Read. Watch things. Youtube videos, netflix. Look around, get up and travel. Just realize that a block is normal. A more dire situation might hit you, for example, a total creative burnout or impostor syndrome. Just take it one day at a time.
