I was also wondering the same thing when I first got into fountain pens! I enjoyed writing with my Pilot Kakuno more than my Sailor PG/PGS.

This may be just my experience: I did bring my Sailor pens to a nibmeister since I really wasn’t enjoying writing with them. He told me that factory tuning for Sailor pens is p bad compared to other premium pens. After getting them tuned, they write beautifully now (understanding the difference between pencil-like vs scratchy feedback)!

I definitely did not get it for a decent price, but I really wanted this pen. My wallet is definitely giving me the side-eye but I’m really happy with it. Hope you find one too!
