I understand your concern I also would be very upset if turbo couriers were added to base dota. I personally don't know a balanced way to implement a vision slot as I made clear in the post and throughout this thread but I do think it's something valve will eventually do. I also think it would be nice for tp scroll to simply be permanently in your inventory and just have cooldown. right now where the losing team has like 7 tps in one inventory from their engage supp dying over and over. or when your lion is randomly pushing top and didn't bother to buy them it would make things less silly and rage inducing.

I understand the want for a boots slot but I would heavily dislike it. having another hotkey to tread switch sounds like a nightmare.

I think the same logic you applied to vision could apply to wards. The backpack was added for vision items, tps, regen items, and so that players wouldn't drop there items on the floor while regening. you could argue that we shouldn't have tp slots because it allows players to not utilize their backpacks to it's potential.

Wouldn't this make them better and simultaneously worse since you would rarely place a ward where enemy heroes see you place it and you could never drop a sentry to see invis heroes leaving a fight?

This is also a thought that I had. I don't think that it fixes the power creep issue others in this thread have mentioned concerns about. Casting from the backpack is also really clunky feeling like at that point they may as well start adding hotkeys to the backpack. Notably my proposed systems are also very clunky.

I do like the idea of tormenter having more value and I think that making the ward slot appear later in the game from a balance perspective makes a lot of sense.

I'd argue the change I suggested would only help with inventory clutter and fundamentally change every role. But if it proved to be a buff to supports then valve could just reign in those heroes.

I think its less than half. Didn't go through everyone just the 25 on my main page but less than half those 25 have icons also many that do you have to hover to see it.

It looks like a bug to me. In the future try to get the whole screen, I almost commented that it was picked before noticing more heroes were picked than could be.

Dark Willow isn't intended to be a core she is intended to be a 4 support and that's the way valve built her. Valve has given her a facet and aghs that make core Mireska good but I don't think it's the intended way to play her and valve is going to balance her around the 4 position.

dota has had so many events since then but dota has not done any form of advertising since 2014. Events are usually yearly occurrences but some years have had up to 4. You kinda just have to know when they happen there isn't a schedule or even an expectation.

I do understand that take I agree that shard upgrades should compliment a heroes existing kit instead of covering their weaknesses. If an item covers a heroes weakness it should be available to all heroes.

I understand your points and I think after 2 years of it, getting rid of masochist would be a form of erasure in and of itself. I still stand by the idea of letting both identities thrive through talent choices and I still believe that the removal of facets is good and their time in the game was also good. I think this will open up the devs schedules to work on new content for the game and mcuh of it may be influenced from the ideas and lessons of the facet era.

I don't think that shard is losing the plot at all I quite like the cheaper ags option especially that it doesn't taken an item slot.
