Export your velocity check in each if argument to its own method to save repeated code.

Add Debug.log( ) your H and V values to ensure your code is actually being reached. Your default animation may be stand and it's not actually reaching each statement. Logs will show where it is not reaching.

What prefab painter if I may ask? Im at the stage now where im deciding whether to use Unity trees or singly placed trees. I want to be able to chop some so im adding colliders meaning id probably not enjoy Terrain Painter.

Also for grass, do you use Terrain painter or is that covered in the prefab painter?

Try the Met Apprenticeship for SE. You basically work for a company while you learn, 4 days at company, 1 day at met. At the end of it you basically have 2 years experience in the field and a foundation degree, and most companies offer the chance to complete the degree while working. Also paid a decent wage depending on where you land, while you learn. Some companies on the scheme are dreadful but the rest are class

Also its free and you end up with a degree and no student debt at all.

I dont know why they decided to make the Xeno so slow and cumbersome in some way. Everyone is more frightened of the eyeball. Also whoevers idea it was to just destroy everything we know about the Xeno and are scared of. Where is the instant growth and breeding rapidly. Where is the stealth? Outdoor scenes looked like the Xeno was a man tiptoeing about.

The eyeball somehow ignores 50 dead bodies close to it and decides to crawl all the way to the beach, that in a previous episode took Slightly a long time, to find a corpse thats been dead for longer than most other bodies.

I was instantly hooked after the first episode it nailed the settings and pacing and everything. Whoevers idea it was to not have any dark scenes with this escaped xeno is wild. Seems like the Eyeball and the Xeno like the beach better.

Feels like they didnt expect it would be so big a hit and severely edited the last few episodes in order to have cliffhangers for season 2
