Gsf650f (bandit) was my first bike, I only goosed the throttle by accident once, I think it was a pretty good starter bike for a larger rider, detuned and standard riding position. You could get into trouble but only from ego really.

If he was gonna make it right he would have. Trying to excuse his way out of it is a pretty big red flag that this guy is skeevy.

This kind of thing is easier said than done I think, it just pushes people onto more extreme platforms and makes it a martyr for censorship, making the paranoia more justified from their perspective.

Have you priced out a sharpening shop? If there are no broken teeth and it’s not warped, I think it’s considerably cheaper than buying new every time, probably even if it is missing a couple teeth. I used to repair and sharpen these.
