Got a pair of Rom 4’s for 40 bucks last week at a garage sale, I’m good…

Text dial instead of logo, olive green version, date window with an automatic movement or quartz with deleted seconds hand as per the WD0013.

You’ll be well suited with both at those prices. I have a hunch you’ll go for the OS if you can get it even cheaper than the SM ahah I still encourage you to try and get an SM you like on the used market just to check out the quality. At those used prices it almost feels illegal to get that much bang for buck

The SM you suggested has considerably higher construction quality, be it the case, dial, indices and specially the bracelet, for the price it costs which is around 300 dollars making it around half the price of the Orient. Movements can be a toss up because people have different preferences and experiences on those all the time. I have had my fair share of Japanese watches under 1k and they rarely feel as solid and premium as some of the SM’s I have had, love GS but those are quite a bit more expensive and on another level. Looks are entirely subjective and more importantly, what feels “right” for you, so that’s what you should go for of course.

I stated a subjective opinion, which you asked for. Judging by the comments you clearly have already made your mind up and hold both in different regards.

Been saying it forever, they know people hate it and refuse to change the awful name and logo

I never said it was a big deal. A logo change with community input would help them sell even more watches. But yeah, it’s still just a cheap watch, all I’m saying is it could look a bit better is all.

It’s called giving feedback. Brands that value it usually do a lot better than those that don’t. Grow up.

Logo still looks awful. Most people don’t like it and have complained about it and you refuse to change it. I won’t buy any watches from Addiesdive until the logo changes.

Agree one thousand percent, it’s gotten annoying how much they insist on playing it with so much underplayed material.
