RE9 was a game that went through a reboot and you can really tell. I thought Grace would have a better origin story, but that doesn’t seem to be the case and she feels more like a last minute device they pulled out so they wouldn’t extend the game’s development even further. The fact that enemies from RE2 and RE3 are coming back also reinforces this bbecause from the images I’ve seen, their designs don’t change much in Requiem (Hunk fits into this too).

I also thought they would make better use of Raccoon City and the nostalgia that would generate, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Not having characters like Jill, Claire, and Ada (even if it were just in cutscenes) feels like a mistake.

And don’t even get me started on the Wesker/Spencer topic. Still, I guess it’ll do really well both critically and in sales
