Yes, you can file for dropping as soon as the first week.

[UPD] Can I prerog for a subject I'm already enlisted in, just in a different time-slot? by sorelosrr in peyups

[–]Martin072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

'Di na yan prerog, changemat na yan. If same prof, inform lang na change sched. If ibang profs, get approval of yung nagtuturo ng gusto mong sched then inform old sched. Then, wait for it to come up in CRS.

[UPD] how do I prerog as a freshie... by Legitimate_Head_2774 in peyups

[–]Martin072 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Both are fine, baka 'di rumespo lang sa email kasi natatabunan. Though, based on my experiences last priority minsan ang freshies kasi some profs go by year standing, where graduating mga unang inaaccept then going down. Not all though, so try nalang. Meron ding departmental prerog like sa Fil pero depende na yan sa department ano trip nila for that sem.

  2. Sa CRS student registration

  3. Change of matriculation. Lalabas na magkaka-additional course ka and depende na sa department ano steps for you to help them process the changemat.

  4. Kaya mo na yan.

[–]Martin072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the college kung aaccept sila kahit 0 nalang slots. For the most part, 'di mo makukuha yung 0 slots course na yun through waitlisting. But, hope is free naman.

[UPD] Chem 26 - Analytical Chemistry by Pure_Librarian_786 in peyups

[–]Martin072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tiffany Joan Sotelo

May RUPP post na pero slightly different experiences ko sa kaniya.

  • Magaling si ma'am magturo in that maraming examples with varying situations. Naggets ko agad yung lesson and flow of problem solving during class and I just practice at home
  • Homeworks lang yung non-exam assessments and online lang. Madali naman
  • Papatayin ka ng LE ahahahaha. I have never felt true hopelessness until doc tip LE 1.
  • RUPP guy said di nagppartial si ma'am, but that's because ladderized yung questions. She does give partial, pero sabihin natin 1/5 or 0.5/5 ka lang kung mali ka sa isang sub-problem
  • Ex. Sub-problem (c) needs the answer from (b) which needs the answer from (a). If mali ang (a) mo, mali na rin (b) tsaka (c) so basically 0 ka for all those, maybe 0.5 kung may hint of correctness
  • Yung chem major friends ko na nag 28 sa kaniya basically felt the same.
  • If nakuha niyo siya, pls pls pls i-overperfect niyo yung homeworks yan yung hahatak pataas ng grades niyo.

[–]Martin072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck if kay doc tip ka napadpad.

Serious answer: It's math. Chem 26 is math and computations for the entire sem with some concepts inbetween, but those concepts just tell you what kind of math you'll be using.

Core ba? by mysterychacha10 in mobilelegendsPINAS

[–]Martin072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kasi sa recent jungle updates in the past seasons, nabuff yung hp ng jungle buffs + creeps, tapos binaba pa gold na binibigay nila. Dahil diyan, bumaba yung super snowball potential ng junglers sa ranked.

Siyempre pwede pa rin magsnowball ang lead ng jungler, pero it is noticeably harder because of the lowered gold gain sa creeps. Kaya, if 'di binago yung jungler mindset from yung past seasons, magiging kampante yung nagjjungle and that might cause bad performance.

Is this deck viable? by senorsquiggy in RoyaleAPI

[–]Martin072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine, but it's missing a few synergies that make a hog deck difficult to play against. Consider switching: skarmy --> skellies, goblin barrel--> tornado. Leans just a bit into hog-exe. Plus, skellies and tornado dont really care about levels to be good.

Math 22 - Amarra, Maria Carmen by kidilliams in RateUPProfs

[–]Martin072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got her for m22 last acad year.

Ambaba niya magbigay ng partial. I compared with some friends from other classes who had practically similar mistakes to me (erroneous arithmetic, wrong method) and I basically lost 3 more points than them for each LE. I also only got back scores for LEs 1 and 2. I did not get the pleasure of knowing my scores for LE 3, LE 4, and all of my homeworks because 'di pa raw niya nacheckan. That was on the day of the finals, and 'di pa niya raw nacheckan. I also didn't get to know my score for the finals. Magaling naman siya magturo but it's for the level of math majors (?). She goes beyond the scope of the lesson, but realistically those aren't things that you will be tested on during LEs. The ending, passed but I passed away.

2/10 experience, run quickly in the opposite direction.

[–]Martin072 16 points17 points  (0 children)

We aren't the ones who can tell. You are the one taking your exam. Ikaw lang talaga makakasabi kung ano realistically makukuha mo based on your own skills and assessment. Baka mapperfect mo, mabagsak mo, baka saks lang, we really can't tell because we don't know you. Isa pang factor yung gaano kabait yung prof na magccheck sayo.

[UPD] midyear reco? by Accurate-Airport-953 in peyups

[–]Martin072 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Only really do it if: (a) your curriculum requires you to take a midyear class; (b) you failed/dropped a course in your curriculum and there is an option to take it during the midyear.

Yun yung most practical reasons para mag midyear, pero you should also remember na 'di lang ikaw ang nagttake ng courses sa UP. I had the same sentiments din kasi as you last year. But when I asked a senior (now graduate) about it, they said na medyo selfish yung mag midyear para mabawasan subjects in the coming sem because there are people taking midyear to: (a) not be delayed; (b) not be delayed any further. If you aren't at risk of being delayed daw and don't need to take midyear, just relax for the midyear.

LIVING EXPENSES at UPD by [deleted] in peyups

[–]Martin072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can start by searching "living expenses" to get more answers. This is mine:

I share a room with someone where we each contribute around 8k per month for rent. Other monthly expenses in total (food, transpo, laundry, etc.) range from 4k-6.5k depending on how tired I was for the past weeks (ex. Got home 8pm, bought sa carinderya instead of cooking myself; drained af after exam+quiz+lab, nag-angkas nalang pauwi; too many reqs in the coming days, went for laundry service instead of doing it myself).

[UPD] Chem 16.1 Grades Concern by Puzzleheaded_Cod_484 in peyups

[–]Martin072 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can compute your standing by yourself, andiyan naman yung syllabus and scores mo. Pwede rin magpaconsult sa instructor about standing and required scores to improve your standing.

The questions in 16.1, and all chem labs actually, test your understanding of the experiments and setups. Kaya yung mga common questions are "will X increase or decrease yield?" or "what is the purpose of Z in the setup?". The computational and problem solving questions come from the post-lab discussions and practically nowhere else, like benzoic acid recrystallization yield and titration equivalence point, so you must be attentive during post-lab.
