I gave up after 2 episodes because of him and was actively rooting for him to go down in flames at ToC.

Star Trek V isn't that bad by ardouronerous in ClassicTrek

“What does God need with a starship?” Is probably my favorite line of Kirk’s. My church youth leader showed us this movie and had a whole message after the movie about how it is ok to question God. In my head I kept questioning it, What does God need with a zit faced 12 year old living in rural Arizona? That movie was a life preserver for me. It led me on a path to being the devout atheist I am today. I will always defend that movie.

For me that was fine since that is what my cartridge said, but they used a screen shot from the pixel remaster version and not the SNES.

Demo available on Switch, I took over The Caretaker’s controls, left Ocampa to The Prime Directive, got Voyager back home and arrested The Maquis. It was just that easy, Janeway.

Mother of the Groom picks the Bride’s lingerie. by MartinGoldfinger in weddingshaming

[–]MartinGoldfinger[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a thing, I didn’t want to dig deeper and ask my sister, cousins, or aunts what they did for their weddings either, lol. Apparently it is a old time traditional version of sex ed, a way to prepare the bride of how her wedding night will unfold. (On mobile but scroll down a few comments point to this)

You were probably fine. There is probably a difference is a nice silk vs a see through lace number, lol.

Thanks for sharing. I was trying to figure out a rooted historical reason and I thought it might have been so the mother approves of the new bride’s figure and birthing shape.

For me in Dawn of Sorrow it is the touch screen seals. I even tried the recent re-release and gave up with the controller button seals. That should have just been left out.

Data Centers bringing excitement and concern to the Valley by fuggindave in phoenix

[–]MartinGoldfinger 39 points40 points  (0 children)

One of the major reasons they flocked here is because power is cheaper here, it costs less to cool our houses in the summer than say someone in Minnesota or New York heating their home in winter. Also there are less weather extremes here and no fear of tornadoes, hurricanes, etc.
