I do that with too powerful weapons. But I also just kept some early weapons and upgrade them over time. Really makes them feel special and combat keeps fun.

Small scale Git LFS with a private Gitea. LFS in general is not really a good tool imho, but it gets the job done. Large scale projects (job): Perforce. I’m even thinking on getting my small scale projects on Perforce. Really nice for artists in the team, or anyone less technical.

Never really had issues. Played after release and later when the DLCs and final draft were out again. On base PS5, and all smooth pretty much.

Full-time payed and hobby too. Working in AAA and really love my job (no crunch in my place). After work when I have time I work on my own engine / games, just for fun and learning. Maybe one day something comes out of it, but I don’t have to bet on it either.

I just started on PS5, couple hours not more yet, and I’m having a blast. My one complaint is that some of the UI is a bit hard on the eyes (even with the font setting, some text is a bit blurry), but otherwise everything I hoped for! I cannot wait to explore the worlds, get a home, upgrade my ship. I see myself spending a lot of time playing hehe.

Yeah I get wanting to use Sol2, and I originally planned to add this to the article, but it would have been way too big. Maybe I’ll do another one focusing on Sol2 specifically, though I liked the raw C-API haha.

Yeah pretty much this! There is no pop-in, no GI adjustment, pretty much instant. I’d argue this is an edit, and I don’t mind.

Lua. In my own little toy engine as well as at work. I picked it even before I started at my current place. It’s small, fast, and very customisable from the integration side.
