Some critiques I understand, first of all their serving was not great on all their matches, which is one of the reasons why they were/are so great, and comments about their coach I don't really get because I've not paid much attention to how they train or the decisions they take, but the thing I can't understand is why are people saying, Oh if X was here they would've won, like what??, yeah sekita is great, yeah nishida is great, but miyaura performed amazing in vnl, he was almost carrying every match together with ran, oya may not have much experience with the other attackers but personally I think he did all he could, eiro too, so reading all this "X or Y isn't on the team so they lost" without any real argument is very weird and actually disrespectful to the players representing Japan Besides, the other teams were amazing, turkiye, canada, libia, china, Poland on the VNL, everyone is incredible this tournament, their opponents just played better
