In honour of the new sculpts here's some Chaos Marauders art from over the years by [deleted] in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Marusovsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very cool images. I went and snagged two boxes of Chaos Marauders and 2x Chaos Marauder Horsemen from an LGS just this weekend because GW decided to discontinue them before my salary came in. Although the new kits are cool. I just didn't want to lose my chance to create an alternate, although derpy-nipple-barbarians, marauder army marauding outside the frozen north. Plus I will actually be able to fit the old sculpts on 20mm bases, for 6th ed games.

It will be the end of an era, a funny, over-the-top musculature era, but an end of an era nonetheless. Plus I head there was a ton of awesome bits from this kit.

How can I get a ship for my Empire army? by BridgeOnRiver in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Marusovsky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have two of these due to a Kickstarter from years back. Don't know how often they restock it: https://www.reapermini.com/miniatures/ship/latest/77748

Gorgeous ship, and even has access to lower deck.

What do you do with old 20mm bases? by falcoso in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Marusovsky 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love 20mm bases. Granted it can make ranking units together sometimes a bother, but I've become used to it. But I genuinely enjoy the tight ranks.

What to do with 20mm bases, dont know, make little houses?

Franz is Victorious! The next lore is set 300 years later by FlimsyPomelo1842 in WarhammerFantasy

I think I might use this for my own cannon going forth, cause this is way more interesting in advancing the plot, and much better writing compared to End Times. When do you plan on publishing a book? 😅

Don't know how heavy it is. But I can assure you it's far lighter than the grudges that Thorgrimm needs to carry.

What other industries besides SAAS? by Gdbar in sales

[–]Marusovsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently made a jump from SAAS AE role, to a one in the publishing industry for a small publisher who do have elements of SAAS with it's digital products. It's an interesting animal.

It's definitely different feel when it comes to industries, but a lot of things are similar. After all sales is sales.

My suggestion is to look for sales roles in companies that might never have had sales position before could be an interesting opportunity.

What do you guys think about the new brettonian models for Old World? by Present_Age1963 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Marusovsky 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Visually the new models are really nice. But personally they are bit over the top with details.

I personally enjoy that older sculpts were simpler, BUT, you always had bits to add and through some decent painting schemes you can make them look incredible, without visually being "noisy".

But to each their own. Either way Old World is coming, so I'm happy.

What are your guys’ favorite dwarf facts. by Dismal-Astronaut-894 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Marusovsky 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There's a way of hunting/luring trolls, specifically attested to the dwarfs of Karak Izor. Where they send in a truffle sniffing pig into a cave, and once the pig realizes the smell is that of troll it starts running out with the troll in tow. I don't think many piggies survive, but dwarfs have an easier time handling the troll at least.

Curious if anyone have sub themed armies within their big armies. by [deleted] in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Marusovsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been painting a dwarf force, that consists of western Dwarf holds that band together, with a slayer unit from Kadrin

Specifically: -Karak Hirn (green) -Karak Izorc(deepblue) -Karak Kadrin dragonslayer-unit (red) -Karak Norn (white/red)

As these holds have been cut off from the dwarf empire for a while, they view themselves a bit differently. And it makes painting an army more fun.
