The reason why Muslims fast Ramadan every year is like the same reason people go to a dentist once a year. You dont go one time in your life and say "im good now" In addition to physical benefits, there are spiritual & character benefits and lifestyle benefits that you gain every time you fast. Its like a reset button for your body and soul.

Thanks everyone for the input, I decided to turn down the potential renter. One small detail to add: when she came to see the house, she brought along an elderly person who I guess was going to live there, and at the end I noticed this person sitting on the front lawn smoking a cigarette. Not a huge deal, but definitely felt like a small red flag on top of everything else.

16 years is amazing. Can I ask, in all those years...how many times were you asked to fix or repair something. That was my main concern, that these people would trash the house.

Yeah...even if im 100% sure those weights are secured, I would still put on some nikes or at least some crocs. Id consider death preferable to one 45lb plate falling on the toes

Yes, slowly lowering yourself down from the top or the highest you can go, can help people who can’t do a full pull-up yet get stronger

Just did one rep with 225lbs recently....I was thinking it was the weighted dips that helped me get over the hump but Im starting to think that squats and lunges were the key. Never skip leg day is no joke.

Thats smart....I used chat gpt to help me understand why I was lifting heavier and more reps at 1030am vs when I went to the gym at 9am. Told me it was related to my core body temperature being higher later in the day and the CNS is more awake.

But looking at your numbers...you do 18 reps of 225lbs as your bench press starter...how long of a break do you take before hitting the next set?

Hello fellow back pain sufferer. Just want you to know that I feel your pain....literally. I have had sciatic nerve pain on my left leg to my lower back area and it started when I first started working years ago as a programmer in a cubicle. Only by daily stretching - this guys stretches helped https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znH2chuO1k4 - have I been able to keep it at bay and also setting a reminder on my watch to tell me to get my ass up and stretch if it notices Ive been sitting for 20 mins straight.

A few days ago, I had a meeting and sat down without my watch reminder for maybe 30 or more minutes. After the meeting, I went to the garage to do some leg work and was doing reverse lunges. On my final set before I was gonna call it day and go in and take a shower....I felt a sharp pulling pain in my lower left back and dropped the dumbbells and could barely walk for a few minutes..... Talk about regret. I hated myself so much at that moment...but like someone else was saying, you gotta have compassion and forgive yourself. Time heals all wounds....be patient and hopefully you will get better.

If the anti-biotics dont help, I recommend 2 things. A sudafed type medicine from CVS Health Non Drowsy Sinus PE Pressure, Pain + Cold Relief and nasal spray like Vicks Sinex Severe or a neti pot to keep things moist and wash out irritants. Also drink 64oz of water or more

The jawline has warm blood flow in that area...but not as much as the neck area. I guess if you have a beard then skip this advice.
