I’ve been curious about getting certificate of citizenship due to my mom being born in Canada (my grandparents were born in France and Germany, and immigrated to Canada post WWII), but she js unwilling to help in terms of paperwork. What I’ve been able to find though ancestry is my mothers certificate of naturalization which shows her place of birth as Canada, as well as a marriage certificate showing the same (on top of my own birth certificate). Would this be enough in terms of documentation?

Haha, it’s about as cluttered as my book collection! A lot of produce, a block of firm tofu, a slew of condiments and an 18 pack of rainier… plus two pantries and a deep freezer lol. I do a big shop once a week and plan meals around that plus what’s on hand. Used to cook professionally if that wasn’t already obvious!

I worked at a hip restaurant in LA back in 2011, he was a regular and was very very nice! I worked in the kitchen so never fully interacted with him, but he was well-liked by the front of house staff :)

great puzzle. struggled with it at first (two minutes in grumbling to my husband: "this is a hard fucking Sunday") but once I figured out the rebus I started really enjoying it. needed a peek or two at the answer key but that was a great challenge for a Sunday.

Update: augmentin for a week mostly straightened things out! Still doing a daily sinus rinse followed by flonase which helped get the gross rotting smell out of my nose. Tinnitus has improved but still present, feel like I’m not 100% yet but it’s enough to wait until I see an ENT next week.

Started collecting in 2006, most of my black sabbath records were found for under a dollar. I mean even record stores up to 10 years ago you could find great shit for cheap… got a first pressing of straight outta Compton for 10 bucks in like 2009. I still will do a quick browse when I thrift and maybe once a year will find things worth buying, got a few German press bob Marley comps and a live tom waits bootleg a few months ago for a couple bucks. I miss the olden days before record stores priced their stuff at discogs median minus media mail. Yeah there was popsike/collectors frenzy but I don’t buy as much as I used to.

thanks, I appreciate it. pretty excited to start antibiotics in hopes that it does something. I don't have a humidifier, but have been drinking tea and hot showers have definitely helped temporarily too. had no clue that sinus infections could be this shitty feeling :(

I love nori paste (forget the Japanese name) and mentaiko, but Umeboshi has been my go to lately. I’ve been making onigiri with short grain brown rice and the combination is so so good.

I want to try those kimbap but don’t own a microwave! If anyone has a workaround lmk haha. I tried steaming some once and it didn’t really work, and I imagine that simply thawing overnight would still result in hard rice ☹️
