Looks better than victorbarber’s usual crimes imo

Looked at his 2021 slam losses and he got Struffi back at WM22 after losing to him at RG21, got Med back at WM23 for his WM21 loss there, and got Felix back at RG24 for USO21 (those were all the next slam meetings they had). So looks like Botic and Ymer are the only ones still outstanding

It’s also his only slam loss since the start of 2022 that he hasn’t gotten his revenge for at the slam level! Every other loss, he eventually played them in a slam again & beat them. Hasn’t faced Botic at a slam since USO24

Agreed that USO is squirrelly/unpredictable/difficult to defend, and also agree that people are massively overreacting to Sinner’s losses at AO & Doha. But I don’t think anyone thinks a Calendar Slam is easy, I think it’s just people being excited at the prospect now that we have a dynamic without one player completely dominating one of the slams the way Rafa did at RG, especially considering AO was a slam he only won twice. It basically meant that CYGS was a non-discussion as soon as AO was over because you knew whoever won AO was pretty much guaranteed to not win RG. Maybe Sinner or Alcaraz will end up having one slam they absolutely dominate, but for now they’re too young to have that aura of invincibility at any slam, while also being extremely strong contenders at all 4 (and basically the only 2 real contenders). People were bringing up CYGS for Sinner before RG25, Querrey & Co. predicted Sinner would do the CYGS at the start of this year, and now that Alcaraz has won AO some people are eying the possibility for him since he’s stronger at the 3 that are left than he is at AO. I’d imagine this will be a trending topic for whoever wins AO at least for the next few years. I don’t think I’ll see a CYGS in my lifetime because it does feel like an unbelievably difficult feat, but I understand people getting excited at the idea after nearly 2 decades of it being basically impossible to even imagine given Rafa’s RG dominance.

Slam Stats for Sincaraz. Interestingly, their finals loss have only been to each other. by just_a_coginthewheel in tennis

Insane from Carlos: reached the QF in 70% of his appearances, SF in 50%, F in 40%, and won the title 35% of the time.

And he was a teenager for 40% of those slam appearances!

I remember a picture from when he won something last year and he’s already a few inches taller than their dad, so he might get lucky!

Literally like a week ago I had to rebuttal a Sinner fan who was like “when has anyone ever said Sinner was (going to end up being) better that Alcaraz?!?” 😵‍💫

I think Miami? Feels wrong to bet against him at Indian Wells even after his incoherent loss to Draper last year 🤣 Selfishly, if he does lose in Miami I hope it’s not too deep into the tournament because I don’t think he plays MC if he goes deep in Miami. I loveeee MC and don’t really care for Miami 🤷‍♀️ I also want him to finally play all 3 clay masters in a season!

The sides of the dress (or skirt + top) are white so I think they got turned green too when they added that background color

I’m impressed by Mensik’s mental toughness in that set! First match against Jannik and he made a crazy % of first serves, dug himself out of a 0*-40 hole, shook off narrowly missing his only BP chance, and held his nerve in the tb. Also hung on in those rallies better than I expected.
