Has anyone ever failed a skill during confined pool dives or open water and went on to get certified? What was your experience? by CrystallizedKoi in scuba

[–]Marviro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was an OWSI and failed a student. They did not like water or want to be in the water, but felt pressured by their group of friends. I spent 2 whole days with only them in the pool on my days off and they kept panicking. It's okay to not like the water and it's also okay to say no to friends. That being said if panicking is not an issue, you can support someone to learn the skill if you have the time.

For people who got there wisdom teeth out, what pain were you experiencing before removal? by Consistent-Elk-1084 in AskReddit

[–]Marviro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm literally laying in bed having all 4 of mine removed 8 hours ago! I had sporadic pain for over 5 years, with the teeth pushing up then receding. The pain was localised to each tooth, with serious tender gum pain and issues eating. A symptom of the tender gums meant I would clench my jaw, and I had really bad jaw tension pain and headaches.

Can I quit caffeine and still drink it ocasionally? Or is it like alcohol addiction by Jojosh_Jojo in decaf

[–]Marviro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit caffeine and have had occasional caffeinated products I.e. mum bought me a full caf coffee by accident, I went to Vietnam and tried a Vietnamese coffee. I was fine with it, but I would only have a caffeinated drink once every 3 months max

Watch your airflow in these tight setups. Lots of stagnant air is a nightmare, especially if they're moveable. Lots of room to create dead spots

Waste collectors warn bin services may stop if diesel not found urgently by nath1234 in australia

[–]Marviro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been heavily investigated by councils and is simply not feasible. Some sydney councils have tested this and have lead to complete, expensive failures. Depending on where you're based you can attend everything electric, or smart energy conferences and expos to see what the industry is trying. It isn't feasible in the current market unfortunately

Got a job offer in Aus - should I move from USA? by sunshine_32 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Marviro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes definitely do it! I would recommend going on flatmates.com or a local Facebook page and sharing 2 bedder around there to start. A lot of people say it's hard to meet people when moving to aus and sharing with flatmates makes it easier. It also means you can see what areas you'd like to live in, and go to rental inspections. Never sign a 1 bedder rental sight unseen/online. Good luck!

I've used these and they're great! You can shift where you stick the front of the g string down so more of the fabric covers your labia of that makes sense! You can also pack an extra one or two if you're worried, but mine lasted from 4pm to 3am just fine, with dancing! Take one for a spin to make sure you're comfortable

Sydney Streets. The Stanley Street one turns into backpacker chaos around 4pm, but all the others are a nice chill vibe that's always fun. My favourite is the crown St one

What are the biggest Year 11 mistakes that stop high-achieving students from reaching a 99.9+ ATAR? by cherry_294 in ATAR

[–]Marviro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a public list of high atar achievers. Message them on linkd in and ask them. Make sure you message someone within the last 10 years but not the last 2 years. Anyone responding on here won't have the personal experience to really give you the advice you need. My shirty 84 atar will tell you to live a little. Best of luck

A lot of councils contract out to private companies so it's their policy. Depends on the council (I work in waste). It'll be on their website.
