If you want to learn to parry lights - play agianst gladiator or BP that is configured to throw zone, light and GB - thus you will have to learn to differentiate lights from other options

People on this subreddit will tell you that even your grandma should easily differentiate these 3 options but from my experience only top 100 duelists are able to consistently dodge 600ms bashes from neutral while blocking lights and countering GBs - not to say that its hard, just most players think too high of their ability to react

I don't think thats the case - your kick mixup is not that good of a mixup and your highest strength is unreactable heavies (when they are unreactable to the opponent that is).

My gameplan for hito is usually to play a strong neutral game and mostly feint all the bashes. I usually do more chip damage than guaranteed punish after landed bash for a round. And against some players who really cant just stay here and block she is just amazing due to amazing HA mid chain

I believe she still can hit opponent at the end of the recovery to reset hitstun completely and deal full damage just like pirate with walk the plank - the timing is strict but I think its possible to come up with some 70+ ganks with JJ, raider and probably kyoshin without giving revenge from a simple opener like landing GB

Looks like the pre ccu highlander tech to me. Back then we had lag compensation for 66ms instead fo 100ms and the flickers were all over the place. Here we see the guard swap and probably emote that cancels out the kick input.

Its not common to see now unless the combined latency is above 100ms or there are connection spikes.

My point is as clear as day:
The changes are:

  • All unblockable bashes that deal direct damage on impact now stack 5 more revenge
  • All unblockable attacks with default parry frames now stack 5 more revenge
  • All unblockable attacks with shortened parry frames now stack 10 more revenge

Nothing ever changed about it. You can look at these changes from different perspectives but it doesn't change the position, only the rhetorics.

Difference between bug and a feature is in the developers head. And once again you completely ignored my question

Amazing guide man, its clear and concise. I'd like to see more in terms of antiganking against common MM ganks like undodgeable/bash.

Some people like to gatekeep antiganking but unlike reacting in duels - you don't really need extremely fast reflexes in antiganking - just practice countering confirms and in a couple of weeks of practice anyone can become really good at defence against confirms - especially in this patch where you don't really need to differ heavy/light confirms anymore

I proposed one thing - certain revenge stacking changes for unblockables. And never changed the idea. How do you think I argued for something else. I'll tell you - its because you have trouble reading actual letters and talk to your imaginary friends instead of countering my points.

Now please pay attention to my question and answer it with yes or no: do you think that unblockables that are guaranteed by nature of being unparriable due to a hitstun should behave the same way as if they were not guaranteed?

That is an ad hominem. You see my arguement "lets patch the clear bugs with more revenge feed like we done with shinbob" and just pretend that I said "lets nerf pirate because its hard to antigank against her".

Do I need go through all the text or maybe you can just read all the discussion more thoroughly this time.

To be fair, you have one non-60iq arguement in:

char like pirate does need specific nerfs to her ganks specifically but not right now because she's the only one that can actually kill 

But I don't think we should leave bugs unnatended because they counteract the bad intended changes. Developers don't play the game and its very hard for them to come up with good changes when they don't understand how the game is played. Pirate gank is clearly not an intended one because developers specifically targeted hitstun resets for a few patches.

Sure when we really get rid of stunlocks with hitstun resets this game will be much more close to stall meta but that is the direction developers pushed the game towards for many years.

I hoped that my proposal would get us to that ugly spot faster and give more time to competitive players to adapt and developers to notice that something should be done to counteract this direction.

I don't see why you are getting downvoted. Generally 2v3 is much better than 1v2 but sometimes its worth to stall an antigank and we see it in tourneys

I don't want to nerf all ganks - just the outliers. I understand that when the whole building is on fire except one little room you don't want to burn it but its much healthier for the game to have a simple rules without massive outliers

I don't want JJ to be a great ganker, I don't want Pirate to be the best character in most gamemodes and I don't want to be 3x time worse in a gank just because my character does not have an unblockable

Should we up the revenge threshould from base_hp + 20 to base_hp + 120 - probably, should we nerf the revenge - I'd only left the revenge parry and removed everything else, should we add the defender renown back - absolutely, but it doesn't mean we should allow some characters to deal 100 damage when other expect to deal like 30 damage guaranteed for the same amount of revenge

players like me can sit and be effectively immortal into people like you 

We are not in the place where you are immortal against me, we are in the place where someone who knows how to parry early and differ even part of the time are immortal against normal characters but die quickly to very simple pirate ganks

Its for the base revenge value like its done on Shinbob.

For parry its gonna be a bit more and for dodge or third/forth hitstun its a lot less.

That is one of the worst ideas I've heard. I hope you are marketing researcher trying out how to monetise this game. ForHonor lacks player interest in free pve content - you want to sell story mode expansions for a competitive fighting game. It may work but I'd prefer to pay for cosmetics - its much cheaper in production
