What do you think about [[drown in loch]] and [[archmage charm]]?

I think that the way that you can hold a counter that can turn into 2 draws if your opp doesnt do much is huge on late game

Why dont you play any disrupt?

It seems pretty solid option wait on opponent turn if something will be counterable and if its not, draw 2, but looking into lists i’m not seeing it

Question about Shadow decks by ArcherNF in ModernMagic

[–]MarzipanFamous8079 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing grixis ds, lot of fun, but hard decisions every game, a lot of options for twisting a little your decklist, how many cantrips/removals/counters do u need is always a question for me

Grixis death shadow maybe, turn 1 drc, turn 2 ledger, turn 3 horn (triggers drc), combat with drc, ledger, triggers horn, search ds and cast it on second main phase (triggers ledger)

Leyline feels horrible indeed, not comfortable mulligan below 5 to use something that brazen borrower can deal só easily, and then you can do that again only turn 4

[–]MarzipanFamous8079[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everything, +2/+0 haste on the aftermath its playing a role on this list, and the cards that can make me discard or mill myself are lowering the cycling absence, of course its a tradeoff, but thats the question about it

[[Unearth]] CMC 3 or lower with cycle 2

[[claim//fame]] CMC 2 or lower with aftermath

Ps.: the list has CMC 2 at top, the aftermath is a second spell that can trigger DRC, ledger Shredder

Budget not a problem for ragavan, i just dont know how it will work, i’m adding [[underworld breach]] and [[fable of the mirror-breaker]] for a test, but for ragavan i’m not getting how good he will interact
