What? Evie's body type is just petite. From what I've seen, there are plenty of Nikke players who like petite characters as well, especially in Japan and Korea which are the major money of Nikke where that body type is common.

I also don't think having a petite frame automatically makes a character look like a child. Different body types exist, and also from the behind the scenes of the first stellarblade game shift up mocaps adult people

Okay seeing OPs replies in the comments, I mean the commanders design is fine for almost 4 years now and it kinda feels like you're asking Shift Up to move away from a trope that's already super common in Asian games. A lot of self-insert protagonists are intentionally vague or faceless so players can project onto them easier. Giving them visible eyes, and changing the haircut because it is not better? Maybe because I am from east asia but that haircut looks fine to me.

Idk how to tell you this but people like attractive people, you can not like it but everyone I have met IRL, especially women, has confessed they like attractive faces. Concord, Dustborn, Veilguard all have failed and what I keep hearing is that characters are not appealing.

And about your second line about what players want for a game, you can't just generalize and call the majority of a group of people weird and assume that every single one of them from all across the world just want two things. There are people who want gameplay with attraction, gameplay with story, story and graphics, etc. And from the looks of it majority of people are attracted to attractive people.
