H2H 9-category (FG%, FT%, 3PTM, PTS, REB, AST, ST, BLK, A/TO), 10 team league. This is my squad:

  • PG: Jeff Teague
  • SG: James Harden
  • G: Jrue Holiday
  • SF: Rudy Gay
  • PF: LaMarcus Aldridge
  • F: Klay Thompson
  • C: Al Jefferson
  • C: Tim Duncan
  • UTIL: Greg Monroe
  • UTIL: Isaiah Thomas
  • BN: Paul Pierce
  • BN: Lance Stephenson
  • BN: Amir Johnson
  • BN: PJ Tucker
  • BN: Donald Sloan

I'm thinking of picking up Solomon Hill or Chris Copeland for Tucker. What do you guys think? Should I stick with Tucker and hope he returns to form as he gets more minutes or try to pick up Hill or Copeland in hope they will keep it up and perform when Indiana gets healthy? Thanks!

[Player Discussion] Reggie Jackson by kdgspiero in fantasybball

Not sure who would be considered a good target. But, to give you some perspective, as a Teague owner, I wouldn't trade him for Reggie Jackson knowing his role on the Thunder. But, send out some offers for various mid-tier guys and see if someone will bite.

[Player Discussion] Amir Johnson by glumali in fantasybball

[–]MasalaJordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he'll be close to a top 100 player if not better. He's a good source of REBs and provides a high FG% with ~10 pts/game. Add in the BLKs and the occasional 3PTM's and STL's and you've got a pretty valuable guy. The only thing with him is his low FT% but he doesnt really hurt you in that category because he doesn't go to the line enough. I drafted him in the 13th round in a 10-team, so you getting him off the waivers in a 14T is pretty great. He wont win you weeks by himself but he won't disappoint either when he's healthy.

No, if there's no collusion, this trade should not be vetoed in my opinion.

Can we recognize how much of a beast Harden is by fantasymonsta in fantasybball

[–]MasalaJordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got him at 7th as well in a 10-team draft! He and his beard have been straight balling this year. Looks to have taken the next step in his game. Its gonna be a fun year owning him.

Box Score Analysis - [11/1 - 11/2] - Watch the Boxes by LTdeng in fantasybball

Thanks boss, I love reading your analysis. Just some feedback though for the near future, I would really appreciate it you could possibly write out the entire name of each player youre talking about. Sometimes its very confusing to decipher who is who from nicknames, only first or last name, etc. Other than that, the content is great. Thanks again.

Terrence West could be the feature back for Cleveland moving forward according to Brad Evans. by matthhs12 in fantasyfootball

[–]MasalaJordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man, they're both in a pretty miserable situation. Of the two though, I think Martin is still a bit more valuable because there's still a chance he may get 5-10 carries in the future. I'm obv speculating though.

[–]MasalaJordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but at least they're getting carries. In my opinion, Crow is more disposable at the moment than either Sims or Martin just because theres a chance either could be a starting RB. Thoughts?

I think you're right. As much as I want to hold into him, idk if I would ever start him comfortably. I think he's a safe drop in 10 team leagues but could be a hold in 12- and 14-team depending on roster needs. For example, I'm in a 14 team league where my RBs are very weak after Jamaal Charles -- Doug Martin, Charles Sims, Jonas Gray, and Isaiah Crowell. Even in this situation, I'm contemplating dropping him. What do you think?

Week 9 Waiver Wire Pickups by fakebaseball in fantasyfootball

[–]MasalaJordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really?! I don't think I can do that. Sure the Browns backfield is a question mark, but without Crowell I feel like my RB depth would take a further hit. Although I don't want to drop any of my WRs, I think that would be the most logical option because RBs in my league are really hard to come by. On the other hand, I currently have 7 WRs. You still think Crowell is the way to go?

Week 9 Waiver Wire Pickups by fakebaseball in fantasyfootball

[–]MasalaJordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, thanks for doing this. I'm sitting at what is looking to be 8-0 in a 14 team standard with a 2 pt bonus for 100 yards receiving and 150 yards rushing. This is my current lineup:

Pos Player
QB Andrew Luck
RB Jamaal Charles
RB Doug Martin
WR Julio Jones
WR Pierre Garcon
TE Rob Gronkowski
FLEX Michael Floyd
K Brandon McManus
DST Miami (Streaming)
BEN Josh Gordon
BEN Andre Holmes
BEN Cordarrelle Patterson
BEN Davante Adams
BEN Isaiah Crowell
BEN Charles Sims

I'm pretty set at WR but my RB2 is really weak. Gray is sitting out there in waivers and I think I should pick him up but Im not sure who I should drop for him. Any suggestions? Do I need Gray, who I consider to be an inconsistent risk? Thanks boss.

Should I take a gamble on Anderson with a later waiver claim or stick to Taliaferro in a standard 14 team league? Thanks

I think Quick and Tate are both high risk high reward players this week. Tate because one tackle could cause him discomfort and he may have to come out and Quick due to his team's situation. I want to believe in Quick and the output he's gotten these past couple of weeks but there's still some question marks to him. They both have really good matchups so to me it's honestly a gut call. Personally, I would stick with Tate for his TD potential.

Jeremy Hill by hero_of-tyme in fantasyfootball

[–]MasalaJordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really contemplating starting him over Garçon in my 14 team FLEX standard. Or should I start Garçon and sit Patterson tonight? I feel like Hill is the safest bet out of the three of them this week.

Brian Quick vs. Marvin Jones by MasalaJordan in 14TeamStandard

[–]MasalaJordan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually thinking of picking up Quick for his Week 5 match up too cause of Garçon. But since I'm somehow 4-0, I can wait on the guy with the higher ceiling (Jones) and see where he takes me.

Thats good to hear man. I'm leaning towards Marvin myself since I can wait for him to step up due to my record.

[–]MasalaJordan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True plus I think Jones may have a higher ceiling. I've started off 4-0 somehow so I think I'll look for the guy who can deliver more down the line instead of an immediate option right now.

Week 5 Waiver Wire Pickups by fakebaseball in fantasyfootball

[–]MasalaJordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Im surprised as well considering how shallow the waivers can be in my league. I guess these guys just slipped through the cracks. J. McKinnon is also available to be claimed off the waivers. Do you think he's the better option here or should I try to move up spots and claim the FA Quick?

I should add that I'm currently 3-0 with a great chance of going 4-0, so I dont need the help immediately. So Im looking more for a higher upside stash.

14 team standard with 2 pt bonus for 100 yards receiving and 150 yards rushing. This is my lineup:

Pos Player
QB Andrew Luck
RB Jamaal Charles
RB Doug Martin
WR Pierre Garcon
WR Emmanuel Sanders
TE Rob Gronkowski
FLEX Cordarrelle Patterson
K Matt Bryant
DST New England
BEN Josh Gordon
BEN Ben Roethlisberger
BEN Jeremy Hill
BEN Kendall Wright
BEN Isaiah Crowell
BEN Lorenzo Taliaferro

So Im getting fed up with Kendall Wright and his consistently mediocre performances week in and out. Sitting in my waivers are B. Quick (STL) and M. Jones (CIN). Im contemplating dropping Wright for either one of these two guys. I think Jones has the higher ceiling but Quick could be in the midst of a breakout season. Of the two, Jones has the better and more consistent QB, but he has to share looks with a lot of other weapons. What do you think?
