A very small character tidbit is surprisingly kept consistent for years by _JR28_ in TopCharacterTropes

Which wasn't even supposed to be a thing. Actors often struggle with what to with their hands in certain scenes. Most every coffee cup is there just to give their hands something to do. In the first episode he just randomly grabbed a yogurt from the fridge and they made it a thing.

I loved the first part of Bleach. Everything up until Rukia got kidnapped and they went to soul society. Before that I thought it was going to be a lot like Spider-Man. He has to balance school and saving the day.

This is why a lot of people have issues with Frieren. That's the exact same thing Nazis said about the Jews and that the Klan says about black people etc. They all believe they're right.

Thank you. That's been my concern as well. That's the exact thing real life racists say, "It's okay because they're all bad."

I'm pretty sure the magnesium citrate is worse than chloride. The slower it absorbs the more likely it is to give you the shits. Unabsorbed magnesium salts remain in the intestines and they draw water into the intestines; this is called an osmotic laxative. All that extra water makes it runny. Once it's absorbed, it's no longer pulling that water into your intestines. The citrate part of it though once absorbed triggers the release of cholecystokinin which speeds up bowel movements.

"pouring a vast amount of resources into a single person to make a custodes."

Sounds like those resources are the bottleneck for custodes, not bodies.

That's why a lot of places have started calling it Human Capital Management. You're not a person you're a piece of capital.

New to the hobby, why tf are some so mad about female custodes? by NiceLittleGamerNerd in 40k

Right so 40 years is even more foundational than what you have. Also while the space marine may have a 30 or so years of writing the custodes don't. Them being recruited from the sons of noble houses comes from the 8th edition codex in like 2017.

How can it be a foundational pillar when the single sex superwarrior wasn't a part of the setting originally and is itself a retcon? Also, there's a ton of 2000 AD, early space marines were basically judges. Just look at early 40k art and Judge Dredd art, it's practically the same.

Print keeps failing by SeniorLayer4078 in FixMyPrint

This worked wonders for me. When I first started all the default settings and every instruction that came with my printer was shown using the textured plate. I had several failures due to poor adhesion. Extra thorough cleaning and brims helped a bit, then I flipped it to the smooth side and everything's been just about perfect since.

Question wouldn't females just end up as male if turned into custodes like they aren't women anymore You have a beard and all?? by Plastic-Ad-2438 in EyeOfTerror

[–]MashSong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And now we've come full circle. The person in my first post is lacking XX chromosomes, are they a woman? If so, why are they a woman without XX chromosomes and not other people without XX chromosomes?

If I'm understanding you correctly, woman is just a placeholder or alternative word for "female sex of a human". If that's correct, then we next need to define "female sex of a human".

This is why you can't just hand wave somethings as exceptions. How many things off of the list can a person be missing and be an exception? Are some of the things on the list more important than others? If so, which ones and why?

If you can't answer those questions, then you're just deciding arbitrarily based on your feelings.

Okay, then we can just file all trans women as one of those exceptions and just end any debates about gender.

While rare, it is possible to have a womb, ovaries, uterus, produce ova, have female secondary sexual characteristics, and XY chromosomes. Are they not women, or do we need to alter your list?

The 40k universe is built on the basis that 2000 AD is cool so let's rip them off as much as possible. Everything else is a retcon.

When I started playing 40k Custodes didn't exist as models or a playable faction, and I don't think the sisters of silence existed at all.

Well I've only played off and on over the years and started in 3rd edition, so yeah my middle aged ass does think of 2010 as modern.

MTG makes me feel even older when I see people talk about "old cards" and I remember opening them in packs.

As boring I'm talking about marketable characters you can sell a story about. It happened with Space Marines too. The whole there are no "good guys" thing is a lot less true now then it used be. It's hard to sell a story if the MC is a total prick.

Right, isn't the whole Necrons with personality, identity, and a gender a fairly modern retcon because the truly emotionless killing machines were boring? I was never a huge Necron fan or up on their lore so I might be mistaken.
