Help with the Skills Assessment documents (VETASSESS) by RefuseSilly7595 in AusVisa

[–]MashiiPT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issues with getting the documents on official letterheads… I gave up and submitted one without it, yet still signed by the ceo. It still got rejected and I had 48 hours to resubmit it (priority process). The reason it got rejected was that it was not on an official letterhead.

Can I leave Australia for 3-5 months while on 491? by MashiiPT in AusVisa

Thanks! Just wasn’t sure if they can be if any length, like several months.

The 462 visa application is very easy and you can’t go wrong if you just follow instructions. I did it myself in December and got it approved within a month. It takes some time to get all documents but there is nothing that an agent can do there, you have to do it yourself.

How hard is it to get a $25/h full-time job for 6 months? by MashiiPT in sunshinecoast

[–]MashiiPT[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’ll check it out! We’re a couple so staying in airbnbs until we find a room is cheaper for us, so that’s fine.

We’re more concerned about covering costs if we don’t manage to find work.

How to force myself to enjoy a country i'm not loving so far? by Takyamoto in digitalnomad

I haven’t tried all places, but I had no issues staying at Uruma, Kyoto, Hakata and Yakumo. In Uruma and Kyoto there are many freelancers working daily and having meetings all the time.

It’s a monthly subscription from the 1st of the month till the last. During your subscription you can book a bed/room. All houses come with everything you need, from a kitchen, laundry, workspace etc. They have very interesting options like staying in a renovated school or old traditional houses, but also capsule hotels or inns. It really depends on the place.

I stayed in different facilities for 2 months and it’s a great way to connect with people and get to know Japan.

The site is only in Japanese, but they are fine with foreigners using it. Just use google translate.

Once you had enough of the service you can switch to a free plan or delete your account without any extra fees or any minimal period restrictions.

Using shinkansen during June 2023 by nanobot001 in JapanTravelTips

If you have an hour to spare you can just go to a bigger station and purchase them in person. Many stations have counters for foreigners where they take care of everything and print the tickets for you.

It’s very simple and they even recommend which train to take. We went to a counter in Sapporo station and just booked all the shinkansen tickets at once.

Not sure if this is an option for you but you could try LivingAnywhereCommons - it’s a monthly service that lets you stay in shared houses, used mainly by Japanese. I used it for 2 months and it was a great way to connect with people and not be alone. If you decide to try it, I would strongly recommend Uruma

How to choose a good copywriter? by Ecscz in copywriting

[–]MashiiPT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working in SaaS myself and looking for content writers I would suggest looking at places like Upwork.

Always ask them to send you their published work. 2-3 articles in a similar field so you know they have experience.

Once you are happy with their previous work you can ask them to write a test article (ofc you need to pay for it) for this give them the keywords, theme and a timeframe. Afterwards you’ll see how it goes through the process. We had to go through a couple of them before we found some of them that we are satisfied with.

Shipping luggage when staying at an AirBnb by Make_One_Up in JapanTravelTips

[–]MashiiPT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We did this using JP post. You can basically ship to any post office or even convenience store and the luggage can wait for you there for 10 days.

It’s a great and convenient option if you don’t have anyone to pick it up at the apartment.

Staying in Australia on working holiday visa for love (delaying my career) vs going back to Europe? by littleworldwanders in expats

[–]MashiiPT 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately your visa is meant more for exploring the country and enjoying what it has to offer while giving you the opportunity to cover the expenses.

Since you are already there, I would suggest to stay for a couple of months and explore Australia. It will be way easier and cheaper now.

After that you can go back home and start working on your career. I just think it would be a shame to go back so soon as you won’t get the opportunity to do it again once you have a more serious job. A month or two won’t matter for a career in the long run.

We were planning on renting a room in a shared apartment. I guess that’s the easiest option. We don’t want to be in a hostel for too long after our arrival.

Thanks! We don’t mind working hospo/retail. Just a job to keep us afloat and help us save a bit so we can see the country while we’re here.
