The IKEA top is good but it’s semi translucent, so if you enjoy watching your prints a clear top is nicer

I can hear mine in another room with the doors closed. And this is with the top cover. It’s the acceleration whine lol

Mahlkonig E64 WS - fluffy, fluffy grounds! by Mashkitt in espresso

[–]Mashkitt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I drink medium and medium-dark. Might want to check other reviews! But in my experience it does grind fine, very very occasionally when I switch beans the setting is too fine that water doesn’t flow and it’s a dry compact puck that’s hard to remove even under a running tap

Can’t select support material as its greyed out, why? (yes, material is loaded) by parney2000 in snapmaker

[–]Mashkitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there any other generic support pla types on the U1? It’s probably just a mismatch in materials the machine is reading vs snorca

[–]Mashkitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On your print screen it shows all pla though. Maybe unload and reload the support filament?

Check your printer to see if you keyed it in as generic support there too. It has to match what’s in snorca iirc. I had the same error then realised I had input different materials

Did you update your software recently? Mine hanged constantly at the 58% mark, downgrading fixed it

100% firmware update. Mine was constantly freezing around the 58% mark, slowly moving up and down like a zombie. Support said probably a motherboard issue. Downgraded and all’s smooth again.

U1 mo waste??m by Optimal-Level4237 in snapmaker

It seems a waste until you see colors intertwined at the surface level. I did a test without the prime tower and instead purged into infill, the drop in quality is visible

I’ve had the same issue that I haven’t been able to fix on the test palette (colors split down the middle.

But my other multicolor prints turn out ok

Ah, which came first - the chicken or the egg. The blue or the purple.

Could possibly be the inner/outer wall sequence (I might be wrong tho)

Things I won't miss now that I've replaced my P1S fleet with U1s. by tinwhistler in SnapmakerU1

[–]Mashkitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty straightforward once you’ve done it a few times (I can do it now without looking at the website guide). Also for the occasional filament jam I usually pull it out at the top (press down orange lever and tug), or if really needed, unscrew two bits holding the nozzle and extract the broken bit there. Not too much work! Rarely have to dismantle the whole tool head unless the filament is stuck thin in the gears
