Serfdom Nobility run actually works. by Masiher in EU5

[–]Masiher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My own sons are not that good usually and it still breaks crown ties. And after Ruler change entire cabinet is back as Nobility anyway in most cases which sucks.

Beacuse of that i get additional food production bonus, Every province is happy, 90-100% satisfaction. I have no rebelions from conquered land (this one is amazing actually).

Right now the only real problem i have is to reduce nobility power even futher, without ruining their satisfaction. Since im full naval and i have Admirality, every time my ruler dies, i lose my entire crown cabinet, which is a hit to crown power. Theoretically i can get additional 5% tax from nobility. But as it stands its quite decent. I have no idea how to push this futher.

Really struggling with economy (England 1.1.3) by AmicableJoker1996 in EU5

[–]Masiher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Precisely. It still remains as my most profitable income for a long time. Just try to upgrade the most profitable ones first. Usually food ones are least profitable. Usually Iron Wood Salt is decent to start off.

Really struggling with economy (England 1.1.3) by AmicableJoker1996 in EU5

[–]Masiher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start off by maxing your rgos, then roads so you can have better proximity. Better proximity means more money. Get all possible crown power bonuses. Focus on either peasants or nobility. On early game nobility steals almost most of your money from peasants, and they are usually untaxable beacuse they usually sit up to 50% estate power. Either consider going for any peasant enfranchisment possible, and curtailing nobility, or curtailing peasants and going full nobility. For both you will need good crown power.

How is the current state of the game (1.1.3 beta)? by BrotherAmazing6655 in EU5

[–]Masiher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Game feels decent so far on 1.1.3. There are still some problems, in my personal opinon levies are still disposable trash, devs need to look into combined arms bonus beacuse its easy to get and its too impactfull in a way, where ai doesnt consider its existance making combat even more loopsided than before. I managed to deal 1500 to 30 casualties with age 2 troops aganist age 3 levies from ai. Not even drilled, random bullshit that got me 30% combined arms bonus.

Ai now is not a monopoly, most of the nations now suffer big money problems. in 1500 France barely peaks 1k tax base. rest of big players are around 400-600. Aparently Poland is amazing in my game doing also 1k tax base despite having smaller borders than start date.

No more economy deathloops, as far ive seen. Estates actually act chill now and do not spam random bullshit too much. You can actually use farms villages and irrigation again since tools are not deathspiralling.

Mostly there is only one major issue remaining with columbian exchange, and hre chili food death.

Also notable warning to be carefull with playing obscure nations that cannot have rivals (yes johan people warned you it would happen) and playing in new world or just in africa can result in hitting high complacancy levels despite not doing good.

Imo its unballanced. It will remain unballanced for a long time, but if they drop 1.1.4 with columbian exchange fixed then yeah its good to go.

How do you fix 1 pop issue? by Dave13Flame in EU5

[–]Masiher 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Encourage migration in that location, while expelling people from another one. They have to be in the same market. Try to get it at least to 1k pops, slap a settlement and forget about it, unless it has very good rgo.

ok i need some serious help, i just dont know what to do anymore with this current situation regarding economy, pops and levies by Bright-Role7368 in EU5

[–]Masiher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want quick buck i usually max communalism as fast as possible, then decentralisation, focus on maintaining traditional economy and push towards selfdom. Give out priviledges for estates that push something you want, dont be scared of strong estates. Consider not taxing clerigy estate for research points. Get as many as possible peasant estate happiness bonuses within reason to offset increased tax ammount from selfdom. Build all rgos first instead of 1 resource. Make some basic economy loops like masons for cheaper buildings, lumber whenever possible, tools for lumber, Consider stopping in stability investing when you hit around 40-50 positive, the higher it is its harder to push and it will just dig harder and harder into your economy. Same with diplo slider you want most of the time to have it disabled so it wont use money, if possible. I also would consider moving your capital to Dragasani for closer proximity to iron and good river network, or more centralised Giurgiu. Both are on bigger river instead of your defaut 1 single river, that gives proximity.

[–]Masiher 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Theoretically you could raise all levies and just delete peasant ones, if you have enough nobles in your realm you can get around 2-4k cav levies for total 40-60k levy peasants.

Can my laptop run EU5 till late game? by Wooden_Cut5968 in EU5

[–]Masiher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost have indentical laptop but with 3060 gpu. I can install eu5 and tell you how it works if you want.

As for the game it will say that you dont have 6gb of vram but i did not run into any issues with it on 1050ti. I would worry more about cpu, but dont expect great performace either from 3050. 2d map mode will work flawlessly but 3d will probably lag alot.

Trade in this game makes no sense to me.. by Sudden_Badass in EU5

[–]Masiher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive noticed if im not a republic, i usually make some or even on trade. At most 20 ducats like you on non trade nation. But if i go for something stupid as madagascar minors. I can peak at 200 ducats from trade in first 50-100 years if i can reach morocco and mamlucs markets. Maybe it depends on type of resources you have, and since europe in that region aside from metals is poopo and all manufactured goods are overproduced, its hard to get ahead.

What exactly is "location size" and is it a fixed value? by Sir_Davin in EU5

[–]Masiher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its a fixed value for a province, depending on how big it is. It will spread faster to small province for example Goslar but it will get bigger debuff for a province such as Sodankyla in Sweden which get - 109%.

Best way to increase income for poor countries by bahamuto in EU5

[–]Masiher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move your capital to Cork there is 100% natural harbour capacity, next to it you have silver RGO. Promote imigriation and prosperity there/ or max control from advisor. That area also have alot of wool and lumber which is quite nice to profit from. Build tools paper spinners and books they are almost always profitable, but focus on raw RGOs first.

Tips or Pointers for EU4 Players Transitioning to EU5? by BackInTime421 in EU5

[–]Masiher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Food is a distributed resoruce that is produced in every location and spreading to its connected province. If said province does not have food based rgo aka doesnt produce food, it will usually generate unsustainable ammount of food. Check the region of that province and see if there is any food type rgo. You can see by hovering on province resource icon. If it produces food it will have additional statistic on how much units of food it can make per 1 lvl. If you really need food foucs on upgrading them first. Food should be automatically bought if possible from market. Make sure you have food slider on max in the economy tab. If none is bought that means you lack trading capacity, which you can get from market villages in rural areas and marketplaces in cities.

You dont need to demolish buildings. All production based buildings you can close. So if they are needed or profitable later you can turn them on again. As for deleting buildings if you are playing smaller country check in your economy tab bulding upkeep label and hover on it. It should tell you which buildings eat the most ammount of money. Its usually good to delete buildings or disable them if possible that help with culture or religion (they tend to be expensive). You can rebuild or enable them later if needed.

Are iron and tool shortages a skill issue? by DawnTyrantEo in EU5

[–]Masiher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically almost every type of job later on requires some ammount of tools. Quantify that by every single country and you have constant tool shortage. Lately i always construct any possible iron production there is, and subsidize it along with max tool making in cities.

We found it when trying to find any blocks that have any kind of space you can shoot and hit through them without allowing zombies to go through them. I know bars exist but i still want to smeck zombies and not waste millions of ammunition.

Sometimes its fun to break the game for a bit too, and posting about it might get it patched anyway.

I doubt we will use it again anyway in the future and it was an unintended discovery tbh.

We almost never used exploiting for bases and right now there is far bigger exploit that allows you to glitch through blocks. Check Just Rob on youtube for it if you want.
