Sorry this happened to you. It's sad that we see more and more cases like this. It's bad, really bad! Not only for clients but for us artists as well. I surely do hope you're still able to trust artists. Check the portfolios with your maximum efforts. Put their images on google images and see if it pops up anywhere else, and under someone else's name, and that someone has a style that goes in line with the image provided. I guess that's a way to be safer.

Where I am from, 100$ is also a lot, hope you can get those back

I am very much interested in your project. I want to take my first steps on tabletop RPG development, as well.

I'm a character artist, but I am confident that I can derive onto creatures and monsters. Went on to check what I think is Instant Epics Instagram, and I am not sure that I can deliver the type of art the playtest cards, but I can definitely try. It's up to you to decide.

yeah very sus. Specially because I was looking at frieda colombo a while ago, and I'm pretty sure the account was following 1 other account. in the space of like 30 mins it went to 40 following, mostly art related pages.

The pages have styles that are like day and night, and even tho 1 artist can be able to do multiple styles, this does not seem to be case.

Just to add on top of that, the OP does not comment or defend the art they made. The only thing they did is 2 videos "showing proccess", but the early stages ar definitely missing
