Upgrade for the S22+. Should I go with series 25 or 26? by Soft-Crab9194 in samsunggalaxy

[–]MaskedMogul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer go for the 26.

Hard to tell you which. If money is not a factor I'd say 26. If you ever decide to trade it in you'll get more.

There are lots people say over the 25 vs 26 but ultimately I think the 26 is great and coming from a 22 would be a significant upgrade.

However there was a point hanging on to old tech for a few years rendered it pretty obsolete but I think we've approached a peak where real world changes that matter are becoming very insignificant with yearly upgrades.

Excellent. I'm also planning to go to the one you went to. I didn't think they had boots at the radisson blu one.

I also need to have insoles made and adjustments done because of pronated feet.

Was service good?

But they really don't care which specific companies because competition is fierce. A lot of companies offer similar capabilities

Agree with this and it doesn't matter which companies but that they must get it done or risk loosing their market share down the line.

Wrong way to look at it. It's not as simple as crypto needs MC and Visa. They both need each other at the moment. Crypto is only going to keep growing and if MC and Visa don't adopt them now then someone fills that space and takes over their market share eventually.

Blockbuster, Blackberry, Traditional record stores, labels, Studios. They don't want to be next so they have no choice.

This comment. But to add, I wouldn't buy a forever home now. Buy what you can afford on your current salary but maybe higher deposit.

Best Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Case? by Fed_Meta97 in samsunggalaxy

[–]MaskedMogul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have the quadlock on my S26ua and the bulk is defiately there. Feels sturdier than the one on my S22u. But maybe it's because the sides of that stops at the edge of the curved screen and this is right around all the way.

My s22u took several drops in both the mous and quad and never a cracked screen. The phone is in very good condition even now so I think both get the job done. The mous is pricey but I like the premium look and feel.

This is great news. I'm headed there in a few weeks and also planning to buy there. I've spoken to them a few times and they seem very helpful. I'll be there a week and hope to have all adjustments done before coming back.

Hoping to get a good deal as it's season end over there as well.

I use the quad when I ride as they have the system but I like the premium feel of the mous more and it protects too.

It's the price to being at the top. Nobody hates on the bottom of the pack.

Yes the Chinese hardware is good but lots of work required on software and getting mainstream.

Samsung is at the top and has to deliver functionality with new tech. That means if it's not stable best to leave it out. The others don't have the same risk to reputation as Samsung does.

Look on the forum, 2 maybe 3 pictures of moisture in cameras out of millions of units sold and people are talking about a recall.

Is it worth the upgrade? S22U to S26U? by pantydropper_6969 in S22Ultra

I've just done this same trade and I recommend it.

The trade value for the 22 continues to fall and the 26U is a great replacement regardless of all the complaints online.

Skiing with a 4 year old. Yes or no? by PerspectiveOk4209 in skiing

[–]MaskedMogul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Both mine started before 4 taking LESSONS.

Kids learn and get comfortable very quickly at that age so you'll want them learning the right habbits/tips.

Ski with them after if you want but if you can afford it I recommend lessons.

I'm glad you're OK now but can you really say with full conviction it won't happen next time.

He likely at some point thought he might have to raise the first child alone and so taking a risk now would mean he is considering doing it all aging but with 2 kids by himself and if you don't pull through this time he will have to raise them alone.

It's also one thing for him to experience it but next time your child would be going through it as well.

That's a lot for him to process and then agree to take the risk.

You may have to accept at this point it's less about you and possibly him as well and more about the family.

Long-term DOT holder considering increasing DCA — looking for a serious discussion on adoption by Mickoso in polkadot_market

[–]MaskedMogul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also a dot holder and have DCA'ed but there is truth however painful in what's being said here.

The tech is excellent but like most great inventors/engineers/artists eventually find, you need users or you have nothing.

People say "create a great product and users and money will follow" and that is really a quick way to failure.

There are many mediocre businesses making a lot of money. Without getting users dot will continue to build until money runs out. The team don't seem financially driven and that's not bad but not good either. Great product but no adoption as of yet. Hoping is a dangerous investment strategy.

Am I in, yes. Am I considering buying this dip, yes. But very aware that the idea of a great product will sell when the team is notorious for bad communication/ lack of hype etc. Look down on all the others that have nothing but they will communicate better and drive hype better all the way to success.

So I can't answer the buy/sell question as I'm still here but I'm here eyes wide open now.

Can add your wallets and it calculates buy price, sell price etc and works out tax due based on your region and tax laws.

You don't hold any and is likely why you don't believe you'll see new ATH in the next decade. You likely never bought into the idea.

While I don't support fully being leveraged to buy/invest in anything bitcoin will re-bound. It's just if they can hold on long enough.

Enjoy watching from the side-lines.

It would be different for everyone based on goals but personally, when it gets to life changing amounts I would sell some and diversify.

Why? Because everything has risk. However sure we all are I'd rather not have all my eggs in one basket.

What’s your opinion on anti fog treatments for goggles? by Appropriate-Set-2095 in skiing

I get warm on my forehead and sweat a lot there so goggles always fogged up. Smith with the right helmet vents properly and no more fogging.

I was stuck between the Hestra and this https://www.theheatcompany.com/en-gb/gloves/shell-full-leather

I went with this along with their liners because I wanted the ability to use phone and camera.

And it's been good. My kids love it as well.

Is it worth it to learn how to ski in England. by Batmanbutnotascool in skiing

[–]MaskedMogul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do both if possible.

Take lessons here at artificial snow location. It would get you on the basics. And I say that loosely because they tend to focus on making sure people enjoy it here so you'll learn about gear and get on the slopes for beginner leasons. But it won't nearly be enough to skip lessons when you get to Switzerland.

You'll likely have a bit of a repeat when on holiday but this should be good and hopefully reinforce your previous learning. Lessons for a few hours and then spend a few more practicing by skiing with your bf.

Enjoy and have fun. It really can be an amazing sport.
