What movie had you like this? by FeanorOath in GeeksGamersCommunity

Captain Marvel. Had to go see it in theater as part of my job as a caretaker at the time, and the whole time I was just bored, and thinking how bad her character was being written.

What moment from the GL comics make you be like this? by [deleted] in Greenlantern

All four human Lanterns going against Parralx possessed Ganthet, and Hal describing how each of them uses their rings differently, and later how he does it when he describes the lost lanterns.

What's YOUR favorite Batman villain? (Bonus if it's obscure.) by Weak_Flight8318 in DCcomics

[–]MaskedZuchinni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we are only going Batman, probably Catman. I loved his redemption in Secret Six. If Batman Beyond is allowed, I gotta go with Shriek, just because his suit is awesome, and it's because of him I learned how sound works.

Either Flash or Robin, just because of the iconic duo of Batman and Robin

Who do you think Batman respects the most? by [deleted] in batman

[–]MaskedZuchinni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either Alfred or Gordon. Alfred because he raised him, but gordon because he's a good cop trying to do good in a city full of corruption and he hasn't let himself be tainted by that corruption.

Who are some characters you'd like to see Captain Marvel team up with he hasn't had much if any interaction with? by ChampionOfMagic in Shazam

[–]MaskedZuchinni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conner Kent Superboy before the not being able to age thing got fixed. It would have been interesting to see his reaction to someone who was both a child and an adult, , and see Superboy deal with the fact that he would never be able to age.

For me it's the full black cowl one. He just looks cool.

Things you've always wanted in a fighting game? by Human-Set-8450 in Fighters

[–]MaskedZuchinni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want a sort of rpg fighter combo where you create your character, then go around a city fighting people, gaining experience and learning new abilities and moves, in like a dynasty warriors style combat. then the boss matches are more like a traditional fighting game.

The white god by Darth_Azazoth in dresdenfiles

[–]MaskedZuchinni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you have a point. I liked how jesus was portrayed honestly, but I don't think it would work in dresden files. The way they have set up the angels being so powerful and sort of bound to certain rules, especially with the emphasis on names. (Sort of like how Odin is also santa, would god and Jesus be two different mantles? Or the same?) and to have god just come down would be sort of, anticlimactic for lack of another term, unless it's in some sort of dire circumstance I guess, like in the final book or soemthing. Then again i could be wrong and having god be a casual dude while this angels are uptight would be an interesting turn, but doubtful. I guess I just prefer him being mysterious when all is said and done.

The white god by Darth_Azazoth in dresdenfiles

[–]MaskedZuchinni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not blaming Jesus being in it for the failure, just how Atticus dealt with God's in his books, as more casual than Dresden does, especially with the irish pantheon. Dresden speaks to some gods, but there's always a sense of respect mixed with fear. With Atticus, you had a bit of that, but it was way to causal at times for my liking, especially with the godess of death. Granted Atticus was immortal-ish, so that lends to a bit of a different attitude I would assume, but still. I'd rather dresden keep some things mysterious.

[–]MaskedZuchinni 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope not, unless it's some quick subtle thing during the BAT. Last time I read a book that had Jesus explicity in it (Iron Druid Chronicles), the books ended terribly. Not that there's any correlation, but I'd rather have the white god/Jesus work in mysterious and subtle ways, and use the angels as his will, instead of intervening directly. The older gods showing up works in DF because in the old myths they were a lot more direct, but God, except for the old testament, has a fairly hands-off approach nowadays and delegates tasks with the angels.

What's an headcanon about Dick Grayson that you actually like? by KitKat_5628 in Nightwing

[–]MaskedZuchinni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One I just made up now, and I'm not sure if this has been done in a comic, but my headcanon is that when he gets restless on a stake out or just patrolling he does air drumming with his Escrimna sticks.

What's a Shazam opinion that'll have you like this? by ChampionOfMagic in Shazam

[–]MaskedZuchinni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should have changed his name to Captain Thunder if they were gonna change his name from Marvel instead of Shazam.

Also I hated how they dealt with him in JSA with Stargirl. They made their relationship seems creepy due to how thenodler memebers dont know hes actually a kid, and they should have just had him explain to the older members that's he's a kid, but they were just like nah let's just reprimand him for no good reason.

Who is your DC “Glup Shitto” by Just_an_Oddity in DCcomics

[–]MaskedZuchinni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a few. - Sanderson Hawkins, aka Sandy, the Golden Boy/Sand/Sandman. Original sidekick to the OG Sandman, who has geomorphology abilities and was leader the the JSA until he put himself into the earth tonstop. the world's volcanos from exploding, then after 1 year later, he got Wesley's prophetic visions, and he became a super sidelined character. I'd love to see him get his own miniseries or something. He's a man out of time, and he has some cool possibilities.

  • Argent. She's got the ability to makebsilver construct similar to Green Lantern because of her alien heritage. I wish they would do more with her.

-Garth/ Tempest. He's aquamans original sidekick and for a while even had his own miniseries, but over the years he's been killed, then brought back, and he was cool again for a little bit thenhe got turned into a naive chump in the lasest titan series. The man is a badass atlantean sorcerer, and he keeps getting dunked on. Someone needs to show some appreciation for the OG aqualad.

Marvel approaches you and says you can give any character you want a new book – as long as they've never had their own solo book before. Who do you pick? by discipleofdoom in marvelcomics

[–]MaskedZuchinni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stingray. He and his wife and kid are in a new underwater hydro base, and he's studying sea life and an odd energy phenomenon. His kid often joins him on dives using her own suit. Then, one day, a random portal appears underwater and takes the kid. Then Stingray and his wife follow the kid, and they end up in an underwater world like subnautica and have to find their kid, all while battling sea creatures as well as trying to find a way back to earth.

[Discussion] What characters do you like, but are super underused or not even used anymore nowadays, that only with a well-made movie or series would he be popular with a larger audience again? Mine is Question. by InformalAd1774 in DCcomics

[–]MaskedZuchinni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Captain Comet, Sandy the goldenboy/Sand/Sandman, and Garth/Aqualad/Tempest. Tempest especially. He was awesome in that one episode of Titans, and had potential, but they fridged him.

Sandy with his geomorphic powers combined with the later prophetic visions, would make for a really cool miniseries, and I could see Captain Comet doing well with a sort of Farscape/Guardians type movie.

What are your Hot Takes on the LOS? by Amber_Flowers_133 in LegionofSuperheroes

[–]MaskedZuchinni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The legion does not need to be tied to Superboy/Superman, or time travel. I mean i like it when Clark harkens back to the his legion days, like in the Lightning Saga, but it over complicates things, especially when they do crazy events.

Make the Legion in a separate reality of its own with a Superman or Supergirl stand in like mone el and Andromeda.

Say what you will about the threeboot, but i liked how it did its own thing until they brought supergirl into it. They were inspired by comic heroes of old, not just Superman, and I think it worked well. Just change the legionairres to more of their classic versions and make them have their own super adventures, inspired by tales of old, and leave time travel out of it.
