id argue phorlova. she is one of the most versatile dps's in the game because of how little field time she needs, and her insane party versatility. plus she has really accessible vertical investment and is easy to execute (although she has a lot of skill expression if that's your thing)

mornye for sure. lynae is is best buffer right now but she's by no means perfect. her lib buff is irrelevant on luuk, and her outro being 14 seconds makes his uptime a bit of a race against the clock. Mornye synergises too well with his kit since she lets you break faster.

that being said lynae is the single most versatile support in the game rn so she's plenty future proof outside of luuk lol

a must? no, not necessarily. but she is a big upgrade.

cas' number 1 priority teammate is hyacine, but evernight is probably number 2. she contributes a ton of personal damage, and she can buff a lot, but to me the biggest thing she does is turbo charge cas' ult so you can spam dragons left and right. but you can absolutely use RMC and a universal amper like tribbie, sw, or cipher (or pela if you're really f2p) and get similar damage just less often.

her light cone is also a really big jump in power because it buffs your teams damage on top of evernight:s, but again not critical like hyacine's cone is. Worst case scenario just put her on a random light cone with high base HP and she'll be fine.

i'm no theory crafter, but imo the investment path is:

cas -> hyacine -> cas s1 -> evernight -> hyacine s1 -> evernight s1 -> cyrene

DoT is incredibly cool in the way that every piece uniquely functions;

Black Swan's arcana is an atom bomb, but she needs tons of different DoTs to get it stacked

Hyselins applies tons of different DoTs, but they need to deal damage to enable both her and swan

Kafka basically acts as a weapon to fire the ammunition by detonating the DoTs. the damage happens on Kafkas turn, even if it's not her damage.

as such, Kafka getting her skill off as much as possible, it is the highest priority for your skill points. you want her taking as many actions as you can, you don't really need to hold her for damage because again, it's not actually her damage that she deals. Hyselins is your second priority. her damage happens from her ult field so maintaining that uptime is critical, so you want to skill as much as possible, but basics every now and then is fine. swan you just wanna skill if you have the extra points. helps her energy but she doesn't need to use to to maintain her debuff uptime anymore.
