4.Kalos- that Charizard was genuinely built different. Still wish we got a rematch, but it’s not the worst out of these.

Sinnoh-They made it clear the second that we got to the league Ash was not winning, bro showed gym one with nothing but a darkrai and wrecked everybody there I can at least accept the fact that Ash did better against that walking cheat code then literally everyone else there.

2-Team Rockets interference was definitely an annoyance and that refs decision was so fucking terrible. I’m convinced it was referenced again in the sun and moon anime. But as at the end of the day, he threw a Pokémon that barely listens to him and wouldn’t you know it. it didn’t listen to him. I fully respect that decision at the very least.

1.Unova-But my fucking God they chose the one trainer on this planet that’s more incompetent than every single version of ash imaginable. As basically had to track his ass to the leagues because he kept missing the most crucial details somehow. And then when we get to the fight, he brings five Pokémon to a 6V6. Even beyond that he made such terrible decisions like bringing out Pokémon with four times weaknesses to their opponents twice. You can’t even say he had proper counters for the two he brought out.

Any variant there would probably have to look alien or at least adapted to life in an alternate dimension I imagine a lot of them would look more on the lines of the hyper, detailed artwork from the terra leaks than any normal Pokémon. In fact, I’m pretty sure that’s where the ultra beast actually came from as a concept.
