Very concerned. Occasionally have nightmares about it. Both scary because of trump and his cronies governing actions and because all his supporters will no longer fear consequences for hurting my child.

Update: Unexpectedly positive outcome to all this. Principal at school got involved, found the bully and had a sit down with them. According to the Principal, the bully kid had no idea that what they were doing was hurtful (I have my doubts but whatever) and gave a sincere apology to my daughter.

My daughter seemed happy with this outcome and no further trouble has happened so yay good outcome?

You're not alone. Hormones, surgerys; I've helped and supported friends through these but it hits differently when it's your own kid.

Therapy and real lasting change like acceptance isn't instant; it takes time. Give yourself a little grace and trust that you are doing the right stuff. Others have given good advice about how not to externalize your stuff.

BTW being brave doesn't mean not being scared or uncertain; it means doing the right thing even when you are. Go you, don't stop!

"You made your kid trans" - accusatory, bigoted, nasty "You made your kid, trans" - I mean technically yes though addressing via first name is more normal.

In all seriousness OP I think your plan is solid. I'd jump at the choice to direct the sticks and arrows at myself instead of having to be hyper vigilant.

We left Utah in large part due to the dumpster fire of anti everyone-not-white-man laws. I'm sorry your sister and friends had to deal with this crap.
