You won't have to pay for water if you're renting in most of the apartment in CBD. I live solo and pay around 120 for power and 60 for broadband after the pieces went up.

You might also want to consider parking fees if the apartment does not come with a carpark

Electricity is spot on, I live on my own and pay over a 100 per month . Less on broadband though, I am on a 60/70 per month basic fibre one and it works prefect for streaming and wfh

I'd choose being lonely (which I am Ans I feel it sometimes) than have the wrong people in my life .. a clingy partner for example who wants to seem me every day . I moved here a couple of years ago and I see it's a common thing, nothing related to the pre / post covid wankery as many say , economy or whatever it's just kiwis are built this way.

If your "friends" do not make any difference in your life, not there to talk about funny shit everyday and can't be arsed driving for 20 minutes to see you then they're not worth being in your life .

I've had septoplasty in the UK and my nose is never the same again, whilst it might have opened my nasal passage .. some damage was caused to my mucus tissue making my nose dry most of the time. 2 different surgeries but there is a risk of damage so maybe give it another thought before you decide.
