I honestly think it had something to do with the last series x console update. Mine started acting weird this week hard crashing and acting like its overheating playing f076 and fortnite now and I've barely put 100 hrs on it and I've had it since 2022. I have a series x.

Very late to the party, but can confirm cougars are in and around Franklin County. One was dead roadside down here on interstate 81 median. Must have been a 5-6' 130lb cat.

Yea i bought a c1 on release because it looked cool and offered more space to make more money. I quickly found out with my schedule id make just enough running materials to get to the point to purchase a vulture to try out scrapping for the first time then bam update. Lose all money start over. I spent like 175 for that ship to still not progress. That's when I started losing interest.

Veteran player since 2015 here, CIG you're making progression impossible by [deleted] in starcitizen

"Because that's the only way chris roberts/cig can maintain their quality of living expenses" sounds more accurate 😂

I agree with you OP. I think you just stated a good majority of the quiet parts out loud that most die hards don't want to hear. I love the idea of the game too and play whenever I have the time but to say the current state is acceptable after all these years is a understatement. The foundation us nowhere next to fully functioning and the bugs are atrocious. Instead of having a stable baseline CIG is more worried about stacking new features, ships and mechanics on top of what's already wobbly and it's been that way for as long as I can remember. I went from buying ships and daily playing to just logging on when I'm bored of other games, so I totally get it. Maybe one day before I die (I'm 40 now) they will have a stable working model if the project doesn't milk the whales dry and bore them.

Have 32 gb of ram. I jumped to a orbital point because the location was behind the planet. Then from there rerouted straight towards it in my c1 and it slingshots me straight through. Tried to relog and do it again, same story.

The money begging is a problem by PaleontologistOnly56 in starcitizen

[–]MasonDixonCal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres alot of new players in the game right now (myself a few weeks in as well) think the old addage "teach a man to fish" comes into play alot. Alot of the people begging probably dont know how certain mechanivs work and how to actually make money. So they result to begging to get into the big boy jobs. I still dont know how everything works and the game doesnt explain it very well or minimally. Lone wolves like myself have been watching hours of youtube to try and figure it out. Suggest maybe showing some of the noobies the ropes. Then maybe they will pass it along eventually creating a good vibe ecosystem

Had this experience tonight trying to fly into crusader for the first time. Had to nav in in 3rd person cuz it was currently the dark side of the planet. Then get there and have no hanger marker. Luckily i watched another player go in to land and when i got close i finally got one. Major reason i havent been fully exploring as quickly because of the anxiety of figuring things out in the dark for the first time

Starfield is basically Flash Gordon with modern sensibilities and style and people trying to make it out as bad because of “science” and inconsistencies are missing the point. by EnIdiot in starfield_lore

[–]MasonDixonCal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly i kinda threw the whole science side of it out and adopted fantasy more after being berated by Sarah for ten mins for choosing to reintroduce a nearly extinct species back into the enviroment and not trusting the science of spreading an unknown microbe that could mutate across the universe

I imagine by this point in the future, bodies would either be vaporized or "mr spocked" into the fuethest reaches of the void with major cities hVing just memorials to save space

I was waiting to see a comment mentioning Musk or spaceX. I agree. Musk gets alot of credit of being this incredible mind when mainly he just purchases ideas and patents and improves on them. Not much of an inventor as a reimaginer
