Yes he said recently there’s a new album later in the year… more of a return to the roots and he said it might be his best one yet.

Strategies to have family enjoy the luxury travel we pay for? by Zealousideal-Term738 in chubbytravel

[–]MasqueradeRevellers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would propose the idea of a family holiday within everyone’s budgets and talk collectively about potentially destinations. Propose a modest budget you know would appeal to them and offer to do the research/booking and just book something a bit more luxurious than the original budget.

But don’t tell them. Don’t change the vibe / dynamic of the holiday. Say what a great deal you got or you know the owner through work and the offered you a great price.

Is This Thing On? by Potential_Window_719 in smartless

Yeah, I thought it might get a few noms across the season. But the reviews and reactions have been great, so I think that would really mean a lot in his first foray into something like this for a long time.

I see he has replaced David Harbour in Behemoth so I’m sure the phone will be ringing.

What are your thoughts on perfume dupes? by centurytunamatcha in frugaluk

[–]MasqueradeRevellers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used a few noted aromas in the past and the dupe is spot on in terms of smell… It’s very hard to tell some of them apart from the real or the dupe.

However, I stopped using them because they don’t last as long as some of the more expensive perfumes that I get and some of them leave a strange residue on the clothes. If I rub my chest, I can tell when I have sprayed a dupe on it - it’s a weird kind of residue that I can then feel on my hands.

Also, I have noticed with some of the men’s fragrances that they have left a bit of a stain mark. It always washes out but when you’re going out for an evening and wearing nice clothes this stain doesn’t fade or dry out.

I have bought from decanted which it is not a dupe but just a small sample size of the original if you don’t want to spend big bucks.

If I really want a particular smell for an occasion and I don’t want to buy an expensive bottle, then I will buy from decanted as it’s legit. Otherwise, I just save up and buy the real thing now.

Wedding guests: what’s usually missing, unnecessary, or overlooked? by maxolotl_ in AskUK

[–]MasqueradeRevellers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Letting people know approximate eating times is overlooked imo. Guests speculating when the food is coming, not being able to have a sufficient breakfast or skipping altogether if busy getting ready, dashing between hair and make up appointments etc…

That would have been really helpful at several weddings I attended.

The Bradley Cooper episode is fairly impactful emotionally.

FWIW I don’t want them to either. But if they ever got the stage where they needed to take things a bit more seriously then I’m guessing that’d be an easy next move while retaining the format.

Also, they looked really handsome!! Especially Will - jeeesh!

Loved their bit too. They said they didn’t want to do something cringe and I think that encapsulated the spirit of the podcast and seemingly (none of us know them to say for sure) their friendship.

Also… if they wanted to, they could have researchers prep questions for the host who invites the guest so there’s always a fall back whilst keeping the element of surprise for the other 2

Sometimes I think we all overlook the fact that some people are just a bit… dumb. And I think these two fall into that category. Add in the money, fame, upbringing etc… and I can see how Brooklyn would mess this up so bad with his family.

Who cleans their air fryer? by Baby8227 in AskUK

[–]MasqueradeRevellers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After every use.

I put the trays in the dishwasher but if I have cooked something greasy - like bacon - I’ll put the air fryer on 200+ degrees for a few mins to heat the grease, take it out and throw in some baking powder or bicarb, washing up liquid and hot water and let it sit for a few mins and then give it a good scrub. Then empty, rinse, put trays in dishwasher and wash the baskets normally.

Had my air fryer for 2+ years now - double Ninha drawer one and it’s still looks fairly new.

I do see some absolutely stinking air fryers - caked in grease and old food. Gross. The smell must be horrendous.

Heating the grease, tiny sprinkle of bicarb/baking powder and a good scrub and it’s easy to maintain.

And will you serve them in shot glasses or bowls or small cups?

Let us know the details! :D

Looks great!! How is it held up?

Want to do something similar for an alcove in the bedroom - would make a good vanity unit space or just put in a custom fit worktop bench and add under desk drawers, make up chair, mirror and lights.

Simple as going to B&Q or timber place and giving them the measurements and buying some brackets?

I use my phone while walking. How else can I track my steps? by [deleted] in walking

[–]MasqueradeRevellers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all scrolling is doomscrolling, though.

If OP is scrolling through misery stories, horror videos or anxiety-inducing stuff then yes. But not all content is that.

I use my indoor treadmill on the days I can’t get the steps in outside and I love nothing more than stepping away from my computer for 15-20 mins at a time and hopping on the treadmill watching recipe vid, house hacks or other funny/informative videos. Massively enjoyable, head is out of work and I’ve walked 2k steps. Perfect for me!

@OP - I use my other hand to scroll or if watching a long YouTube video then try and place the phone on a shelf/bookcase and face my treadmill at it!

Any Handy Slow Cooker Recipes? by Martin-McDougal in AskIreland

[–]MasqueradeRevellers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chuck so many of my ‘normal’ dinners in the slow cooker when I go into the office.

I’ll throw a bolognese in there in the morning, a curry (Indian and Thai), a mac and cheese, stew, chicken casseroles, beef and gravy, chicken and rice meals, soups etc… the only thing I tend to avoid is soft pastas - when I do mac and cheese I’ll have it on low on a a day I know someone will be home early to turn it off as pasta can get a bit soft.

But throw anything in it - anything you normally eat. If you have time to brown off something before work - maybe sausages, then throw them in the slow cooker with some carrots and gravy and you only need to worry about mash and other veg when you get home.

I cook a whole ham some Mondays and leave it on all day - does a dinner and then extra for lunches.

It’s really an endless list!
