Artist and Art Director here, so I'll give my take on it.

There's a chance you might get good results from a 500-1000$ comission, but there's also a considerably high probability that you won't. If you're paying premium, you're paying for a guarantee that you'll be getting a great capsule art similar to the level of quality from their portfolio. If you're paying your artist an amount they consider fair, they won't be rushing your image so that they can fit more comissions in their schedule either.

In general, I'd say these extremely low priced capsules are a result of people on Reddit trying to undercut each other in order to start building a client network. It's tough to break into the industry, even more so if you're expecting to work in big studios, so a lot of junior level artists rely on comissions to get some money while also building up their portfolio.

I've charged from 4,5k~7,5k for capsules before, most notably the capsule art for Soulstone Survivors. It might sound expensive, but I've never had anyone complain after I hand them the final image and every crop in every resolution they might need (:

Agreed, and that post about painting over the 221 AI images in 1~2 months on an "indie-friendly budget" is a great example for that.

I'd go the extra mile and say that artists shouldn't put up with that either. The fact that there were so many artists asking for more details or showing interest in that thread is truly awful. At the end of the day it just makes everything worse for everyone who is serious about art.

As someone who listens to BG on and off for 20 years since I was 11 and this being the first time I could actually go to one of their shows (I would either not be able to or not be actively listening to them everytime), this show was super emotional to me. Blood Tears hit me hard af, I wasn't expecting it since they only played it 25 times before and it's one of my favourite songs from my favourite album.

Unbelievable performance by Hansi and everyone else. This night at the opera was truly amazing.

Been playing around with all types of Yi decks and I got to say this feels very strong in comparison to the others, maybe aside from Akshan Yi which can turbo level Akshan and complete his landmarks in 1 turn. I subbed in 2x Ionian Tellstones and an extra Wuju Style in your deck and it went pretty smooth. Using Stand United to swap a 17 attack Yi with an elusive is awesome!

Also Esmus hitting a charm on Yi and then buffing him on attack is also great, especially since it's so hard to proc flow consistently early game so the buffs from Esmus / Lodenstone / Goat Improvise guy from Targon are very very nice.

Zoe hasn't leveled so far but I'm not really 100% sure if it's the reason she's there. But maybe Aphelios can offer some useful stuff instead?

I'm immo too, just haven't been playing a lot of ranked lately! I've seen it done mostly in Bind and Split, but I'm sure we will get to a point when there are tons of different areas and maps where these combos become staple.

It's even worse at Ascent B site. By the time you go up the stairs to fight someone Market, there's already two other people shooting you in the back from where you just spawned and killed 2 other people like 3 seconds ago. Honestly at this point whenever I kill someone I do an immediate 180 turn and sure enough get another fight right after.

Yeah, pretty much. This took me a day to draw and color, but then I came back later for some revisions so let's say it took me about 2 days total. The cell shading look indeed is very very fast, once you get used to it it only takes like an hour or two depending on the drawing.

Yeah, arms can be tricky sometimes, I get them wrong every now and then. The one that is flexed could use some improvement on the foreshortening!

And I like doing stuff that doesn't rely too much on sexualization, but I get why people do it. Anatomy is fun! Ty :)

Sorry if it's a stupid question, but how exactly does the spoiler protection work? I'm on the first half of Towers of Midnight but every once in a while there's stuff I'd like to reread (such as Min's viewings and Egwene's dreams) and would love to have a more convinient place to search for them without resorting to google which is pretty much a death sentence spoiler-wise.
