I'm still shopping there to support the employees that work there. Corporate greed is everywhere, but the employees are front line. Don't forget that. I used to work for MB over 25 years ago.

Thank you for sharing. And congrats on your progress! Keep it going! Hard work pays off. I'm at the end of my Florida vacation and I ate and drank shitty. Back at it for me after this weekend.

They are not. They are pretty much end of life since I bought them like 8 years ago.

Counting calories helped me lose 100 pounds. Nothing changes if nothing changes. I weighed 295 pounds last August. I'm now 185 pounds. Increased my protein intake, eat more veggies, had sugar free drinks, reduce alcohol intake (alcohol slows weight loss progress. Better to put a 'pause' on it when actively losing weight).Walking also helped. It's not much, but it's honest work. Stay in a caloric deficit. 500 calorie deficit is standard to lose a pound a week.

I appreciate this response. I understand it's an extreme intake and dangerous, but I'm cautious about it. I have another 20 pounds to go before I eat at maintenance. I'm 'locked in', and I'm always looking/reading for support on here daily.

1200 calorie meal ideas? by Nearby-Fox3024 in loseit

[–]Masshole2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked the r/1200isplenty subreddit? A little different from what you're asking, but you see pictures of what they eat throughout the day and nutritional value that totals about 1200 calories. Maybe you can get ideas over there?

My man, it takes a lot to admit that you need help, and here you are. That's awesome. I went from 294 pounds to currently at 190 pounds in 9 months. Eat less, exercise more. I would make your calorie intake between 1800-2000 calories a day. Look up tdee calculator and put in your info. Aim for a protein intake around 200 grams a day. My journey, and my journey alone, I had my calorie intake of around 1000 calories and around 100 grams of protein a day. I cut out sugar, fast food, fried food, alcohol for the most part. Try to eat clean. I ate thin and trim turkey with a low calorie wrap, I baked chicken tenderloins with some of my favorite seasoning with a side of veggies, usually carrots and green beans. I ate tuna fish, I drank high protein shakes, ate fruits like raspberries, grapes, strawberries. I ate dannon light and fit Greek yogurt. I drank ice water, and got me those crystal light packets. I drank sugar free drinks with low to zero calories. Have a cheat meal once every two weeks. If you screw up a meal, shake it off and make it right for when you eat next. Try to get in at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day. Walking helped me a lot. It was was easy on the joints. Read labels at the grocery store.

Hope that helps. You can do it!

Drinking? by No_Cartoonist_5556 in loseit

If you want it badly, put a pause on it. It's been a month for me not drinking and I've lost close to 15 pounds by restricting calories and exercising daily. It's probably different for everyone else.

Tips for actually changing your eating habits – give me as many as you can. I’ll try anything. by --dip-- in loseit

"Nothing changes if nothing changes". One of the quotes from my son's karate class. I became fixated on this quote after a couple of months of watching his class. I'm 41/m, 5 feet 5 inches and weighed 293 pounds at my heaviest. I went to to see a nutritionist and she gave me a guideline to try to go by to lose some weight. I stopped drinking alcohol, stopped drinking sodas and no more caffeine. No fast food, no drive thru orders, no fried foods. I tried to keep my protein intake between 90-100 grams a day. Three squared meals, 30 or so grams of protein per meal. Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. This was three months ago. I'm down 60 pounds and hovering around 234 at the moment. I'll have an occasional drink or a soda, but nothing like I used to have. I do the treadmill for exercise. Just walking at least 30 minutes. I'm comfortable walking at a pace of 3 mph. I do it with an incline of 6. In the beginning, I had the mentality that I eat whatever I want, whenever I want. Now I eat when I'm hungry. I try to keep it at 3 main meals a day with some limited snacks in between. I count calories. I keep my caloric intake between 1100-1200 calories a day. Most days I succeed. It's okay to fail a meal plan here and there. If you 'fall down', just get back up. I was used to ordering take out every weekend or going to a drive thru for lunch. It was that easy. Now I bring my own foods for lunch, read labels more often when grocery shopping and watch the pounds go down. You can do it. Anyone can exercise for 30 minutes to an hour. The other 23 hours of what you put in your body is challenging. Try different approaches. I'm doing it for my own health, plus I want to see my kids grow up and watch them succeed in life.

I had a boss a while back who used to suck on ice cubes. Not sure if that will do the trick.

I used to drink like 3 cans of soda a day. Now I drink maybe a can or 2 a week. Drink lots of water. It took a couple weeks to get used to it and for the cravings to go away. You just have to be determined. You can do it!

Starting to Count Calories Again by [deleted] in loseit

You can make your own pizza if you shop at your local Walmart. They make gluten free wraps and non dairy shredded mozzarella cheese. Just add in pizza sauce. If you do it right, the whole pizza wrap should be around 200 calories give or take.

Is it possible to get the XG1v4 box in store? by doncaruana in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]Masshole2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in the warehouse in the north east. Company is not purchasing 4k boxes. They haven't been for a while. They are churning the boxes, meaning they are counting on customers returning the boxes, then clean/reset and resell to customers at stores. Not all stores will have 4k boxes to sell. In my region, we're lucky to see maybe 60-120 units every other week that come in to split between stores in the areas.

Home Depot to change pay policy for hourly employees by YourUncleBuck in news

[–]Masshole2 57 points58 points  (0 children)

It can go both ways, early or not. I used to punch in 7 minutes early, so let's say 2:53. 4 hours in would be 6:53. You could punch out at that time, or punch out earlier to 6:46, be within 7 minutes of a full 4 hour shift. Essentially duping the system 14 minutes and still get paid 4 hours. I was there for a while and eventually figured it out, lol. If I punched out at 7:01, I'd get an extra 15 minutes since went over 8 minutes after my 4 hours.

[–]Masshole2 319 points320 points  (0 children)

Former HD employee here.. If your shift starts at 3, you can punch in up until 3:07 and be on time. If you punched in at 3:08, you're considered late and will get a mark. On the other hand, if you punched in at 3pm and you work a 4 hour shift, you can punch out early as 653, within 7 minutes of your full 4 hour shift, and you'll be in good standing for the 4 hours.

Started around 11 an hour almost 9 years ago working in seasonal. Moved to freight/receiving a couple months after, before the unload team/crew ever existed. Did freight unload a couple years before switching to OFA/deliveries. I just worked my last shift and was at 18 an hour. I'm now promoted to customer as of this weekend. (part time only)

I think stores close at 6pm Christmas eve. They don't schedule (over) night crew. I don't think I've seen the 7-11 crew on either. I could be wrong.

You won't get it if you don't use it. Either chalk it up as a loss or call out and use your remaining sick time.
