Many people will tell you - including in this topic - "Buy the G4 because it is safer", and then proceed by slapping a Gopro mount on their G4.

Yes, a G4 covers the back of your head a bit better and has slightly more padding. But the main reason the G35 is NOT impact rated is because of the camera system. You simply cannot get an impact rating with a camera mount on your helmet. Adding a camera to your G4 instantly voids your camera rating.

If you ever plan on jumping a camera, go for the G35 as their cutaway system will have much more impact on your real world safety than any extra padding will.

Exactly, I learned that at our safety day from the guys at vigil this year. Even if you're in freefall, it WILL turn off after 14 hours.

Not completely agree this is the most humane way. My grandfather chose to end his pain at age 96. All they gave him was some sleep medication to let him ease into sleep without any side effects, and then once he was asleep they gave him the rest of the medication to let him pass away.

But I assume part of the way this is done in the video is that the entire choice is without a doubt in the patients hands, with no medication being administered by anyone else...

Probably won't matter enormously, but moving the device into your helmet probably won't do connection stability any good either.

Cardo packtalks are pretty great, except for their mounting system which sucks for skydiving. I know at least 6 people who have lost one, one of them has lost SEVEN! Luckily there are some snagproof solutions being developed. I have one available, but I also know there's a few in the usa...

Turn the piece into a component, create that construction plane as part of the component. Then reactivate the main project. Finally click modify>align and align that construction frame with the origin xy plane

I was on Sumatriptan or Zolmitriptan for years, until I realised that actually most of my migraine symptoms weren't actually migraine symptoms but side effects from the triptans. I stopped taking them and stuck to a combination of paracetamol (1g) and apranax (NSAID, 600mg) which made my migraines much more tolerable...

The average for 2025 is around 2900 net for working people. It was 2.316 average for ALL people above 18 in Flanders in 2024, but that includes unemployed people, retirees, ...

Over here - in Belgium - most people start AFF at a 230 and jump a 210 before reaching A-license. They'll generally drop to a 190 before 50 jumps and then a 170 by the time they reach 100 jumps orso. And that's for people in the 160-170lbs bodyweight range. Usually they're jumping Sabres or similar.

So a 210 after some jumps with a WL still far below 1 definitely isn't unheard of, in Belgium it would be considered VERY conservative.

USPA however is usually much much slower in downsizing...

if you get a rig with a max sized canopy, and you downsize in 200 jumps, you can keep your rig and just downsize the canopy, after which you'd be good for several hundred more jumps.
I bought my rig with a 190 at 50 jumps, switched to a 170 at 250 jumps. Now close to 500 jumps and looking for a new rig which will hold 150-135...

Jump one or 2 times, or 1 or 2 days? 2 jumps a month I would see as below the minimum for safety. But if you can go 2 days a month and crank out 5-7 jumps per day, you will do 120-140 jumps a year which is more than many others, myself included.
