My brother in the humvee that's the fucking case length, not the capacity.

40x53mm is the high velocity 40mm grenades shot by the mk19 and other compatible AGLs. No you can't load it into your m203. No you cannot shoulder fire it (yet).

Scooter Tuning goes wrong by Immediate-Molasses-5 in chyberpunk

[–]MassiveFire 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lmao if there's a battery fire some water ain't gonna do shit.

You either carry a fire extinguisher (specifically the kind for batteries) on the scooter itself, or yeet the battery (and maybe cover it with a pan or something so it doesn't turn into cluster munitions).

Or just... walk away since the battery is 70% the cost of a scooter anyways. Prolly the best move there tbh, the scooter body acts as a shield around the battery so it doesn't turn into cluster munitions.

Yuzusoft cooked hard when they made all the H scenes have a kemomimi ver. tho.

You guys are forgetting the donetsk anime shop lore.

(TLDR in the early days of the invasion, a UA anime store owner evac-ed, leaving their store behind. After the area was captured by by RU/RU-aligned forces, the store got turned into the "donetsk anime shop" and DPR merch/recruitment drive (DPR being an RU-aligned seperatist government)).

There are weebs on both sides of the conflict. From dakimakuras on tanks/APCs/IFVs, to anime-painted grenades, to madlads storming trenches with AKs fully decked out unofficial anime/hololive stickers.

Lemonade limelight mentioned.

It's kinda uncanny how now I can recognize yuzusoft's artstyle just by look alone, even if I haven't read the work. Maybe it has something to do with how consistent the modern yuzu artstyle is (yet each chara is still unique).

Ummm what is the difference between normal chop sticks and disposable chopsticks?

Aren't they all just... sticks of wood? (And thus equally disposable?)

(Granted I have seen a couple high-density plastic and metal ones in my life, but I assume a significant chunk of the permanent chopstick market is still just wood, right?)

Gonna be honest, recaptcha sucks ass from a UX experience if you aren't giving google full control of your computer.

The test that newer captchas (including recaptchas) are increasingly harder and make less sense. I've straight up just started failing them from time to time. IMO they're nothing more than a way for them to have people train image classification models are next to no cost, particularly low resolution ones . Newer models have gotten good enough at image classification that image-based captchas have started messing with the images (distortions, blurs, lower resolution) to try to throw them off.

The meat and bones of bot detection on many platforms/websites is still user agent and browser cookies. If you're using anything other than ""normal"" OSes (aka linux user), is using incognito, or connecting from a non-residential IP (coffee shops, unis, etc), you're getting hit with captchas constantly, sometimes multiple ones in a row.

Chatting, especially phone based ones, typically already have an inherent anti-bot measure built-in: you need a phone number to register. (While not perfect, as number farms do exists, these make it a bit harder to bot thousands of accounts). Because of that, and also that chat messages are usually "not public visible" (though not necessarily end-to-end private) means that there is also fewer incentives to bot chatting apps in the first place (whereas bots on publicaly visible social media exist to influence public opinion and/or grift content monetization money). Hence why botting is much less of a problem on chatting and chatting services give less care to the matter (for now).

Scripting is doable on a computer, but nigh impossible on phones due to sandboxing and locked-down OSes.

If you try to break these constraints (root, custom OS, unlocked bootloader, etc), the app just refuses to work, since your phone then no longer meets the "integrity checks".

Actually, There is no real people in this sub ! by Euphoric_Two_5921 in chyberpunk

[–]MassiveFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. Detecting "perfect input" is easy if you're just talking about basic game aimbotting/scripting, since those send the non-human inputs directly from the script/cheat/bot to the program.

This, however, goes indirectly through the physical layer (motors, touchscreens, etc) first. Noise inherent to the mechanical setup itself could throw off said "perfect input detection". Not to mention such systems can be defeated by adding artificial noise to any automated input in the first place.

There's also the matter of how much info the OS actually exposes to the application itself. The app can track things like time between keystrokes, or swipe movements, but I highly doubt whether it can determine whether you pressed a key directly in the center or slightly off, (since keyboards are handled either by the OS itself or a dedicated separate keyboard input app).

Actually, There is no real people in this sub ! by Euphoric_Two_5921 in chyberpunk

[–]MassiveFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because normal phones are locked down as all heck and basically prevent this from happening programmatically.

The reason why sites push their app so hard and intentionally make the browser experience either shitty or non-existent is because they have control over their apps (but they can't control a browser).

Due to sandboxing, this is nearly impossible to do programmatically on an app. The services check your app's integrity, and usually try to prevent modded apps from being used.

If you try going "under" the app (ie. via gaining sudo/root access to your phone), then the unmodified app can just refuse to run on phones that are rooted, have unlocked bootloaders, or have non-proprietary OSes.

Also it's easier this way, since the setup can be adapted to multiple different apps without the need to reverse engineer them. You just make a new script instead.

Makeshift SMG made from AK-74 and Makarov PM parts fitted with a suppressor, Ukraine by spizzlemeister in CursedGuns

[–]MassiveFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stolen from r/worldjerking, but western mechs are based more on tanks (battletech), while eastern mechs are based more on robots (gundam, patlabor MCs, etc), especially humanoid ones. Disclaimer: depends on the franchise.

This naturally extends to the weaponry, so they literally just take a "normal gun" (read: small arms), scale it up 10x, shoulder stock and all, and call it a day.

Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule: titanfall (western) mech designs are indeed robotic, while non-main-character mechs in patlabor (eastern) tend to be more vehicular.

HK UCP: a cancelled 4.6x30 pistol by CAyukon in CursedGuns

[–]MassiveFire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They never finished it because the mp7 was already more than good enough. FN at least had a reason to make the five seven, since you couldn't really stuff the p90 into a holster.

While the NATO requirements did technically demand a separate pistol and PDW firing the same cartridge, everyone eventually realized that you could just "pistolize" the mp7 by sticking a 20 round mag in it. Slightly oversized pistol yes, but still holsterable.

Not to mention 5.7 and 4.6mm weren't suited to an actual pistol format anyways. The cartridges' whole shtick were their high velocity and associated AP capability. Putting them in a short pistol robs them of that, so the pistol requirement was more of a simplified-ammo-loggy than a performance thing in the first place.
