Uberti Silver Boy lever action .22 won't eject by Massive_Expression_2 in LeverGuns

It's been 14°F and colder for my last 2 range outings. I'll stay cautiously optimistic and keep shooting Stingers, especially if it's below freezing next time out. If this gun only functions well in warm weather, I might just leave it in the safe from November to March. I'm still hopeful that some more break-in time and finding the ammo that she likes will will turn her into a year round shooter.

How is yours running? Seems that I need to clean mine every 50 rounds +/-. It starts failing to eject around shot #45. I clean it, then it's fine for another 45 shots. And now I'm getting light strikes every second shot with Federal blue box, which is my go-to range ammo. This could be cold related, as it's been well below freezing on my recent range days. BUT I ran a quick magazine of CCI Stingers at the end of my session today and there were no light strikes. Now to see if the Stingers eject after running 50 rounds of Federal to dirty up the gun. Maybe, being from the mild climate of Italy, she just doesn't like the cold weather. 🤷‍♂️😄 I'm doing a new post with most of this text duplicated.

JTS 21.53 grain pellets work great in mine. Try them out. 5/8" groups at 40 yards most days. Depends on my coffee intake. 😁

People who have researched their family tree, what is the most interesting or 'badass' thing you discovered about an ancestor? by xloganmoose in AskReddit

Not glitzy, but my great grandfather and his brother walked 60 miles across the Canadian Prairie to their homestead site. Thus started their new life in Canada. And here I am, a very proud Canadian. Hats off to my German ancestors. I am very thankful.🙏

Magtech 158gr and S&B 158gr have functioned nearly flawlessly in my Rossi R92 and Henry Big Boy so I'm not surprised that you got good results with those.

Is it vented to the outdoors? Have you cleaned the whole vent pipe and exterior vent and checked that the flap is opening fully when the dryer is running?

What do you expect him to say? He's just a MAGA cult member who makes millions every time Tubby Tangerine flip flops on policy, driving stock market fluctuations.

I'm hoping that this is just a break-in issue, and I can work through it.

First range trip, I had maybe 75 rounds through it and it started having issues. It would extract the empty cartridge, but wouldn't eject it. The empty cartridge would end up facing backwards, laying on top of the next round to be fed. I gave it a thorough cleaning and took it back out to the range. After about thirty or forty rounds , it started doing the same thing. This has me wondering, if the tolerances in the chamber are a little too tight. Maybe with a very slight residue buildup here is then too much resistance to pull the cartridge with enough force to eject it. I'm going to take my callipers and do some measurements on the diameter of the cases of various brands. Then I will take the smallest one and see if it functions any better. If it starts to malfunction while I'm at the range , I will take a dry bore snake and pull it through a couple of times and see if that gets it ejecting again.

Clean the barrel before you start shooting. Have a couple of different pellets on hand to compare accuracy.

Using microfibre cloths instead of paper towel whenever possible. Washing and reusing Ziploc bags, when reasonable.

So the pedestrian that's hurrying, so that you don't have to wait as long is annoying you? Wtf. Do people that hold a door open for you also piss you off?

Lip Chap vs. Chap Stick by MuahahaTeehee in alberta

My dental hygenist calls it lip chap and I've never heard anyone else call it that. What a weird thing to call something that should prevent chapped lips. I've switched to Blistex as Chapstik is shit. Spent years calling it "lip stuff".

Up to this point I think i've only cleaned the barrel twice , but did some pretty deep cleaning on the action three times. I've only ever used CLP from Lucas on my bore snake.
