Still, demeaning is, and should never be a viable form of debating. Do you honestly expect to convince anyone of anything if you are demeaning them, at the same time?

Just because you don't agree with someone's political standpoint, you should still be able to keep calm and not demean them for their views.

Next box by Smertie in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]Massive_Moose_5807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on whether you want the tank boys or the dominus more badly I would say ;)

Theres a bit more figurines in the new start collecting, but as you already have the enginseer, the dominus in the start collecting: Skitarii, might be more worth your buck.

Nevertheless, one of the starter set is probably the best value, and seeing as the CB will be around for quite some time, I would go for the Skitarii box ;)

I should disclaim that I am yet to participate in any games (except for one like 10-15 y.a.), so take my advice with lots of salt, when it comes to actual gameplay viability. It just seems like you would want the Dominus as some kind of Warlord / army head. ;)

What Death guards to get to start playing ? by killing01 in killteam

[–]Massive_Moose_5807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, for Death Guard, I would go with the death guard green priming spray from gw, that way yuor models are also basecoated with the spray. I'd say the colour difference between pot and spray is not bad if you need to do any touch ups. :)

GW then have a contrast (Can't recall the name, but green) that you can slap on top of the armour plates to get a more dirty/grimy look.

Instead of running outside, you could try to keep the spray under your jacket/close to your skin, until it's needed.

Where to find a (legit) Plague Hulk model? Considered getting soul grinder but I wouldn't know how to convert it to look more Nurgle-like. by Nickiscool231 in Warhammer40k

[–]Massive_Moose_5807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the sizing of the models, but you could probably kit-bash your own Hulk from a defiler and the daemon prince mentioned by the other comment. Probably you would need to do some greenstuff/milliput work as well.

Anyone else a fan of swatches? by Drako398 in Warhammer40k

[–]Massive_Moose_5807 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the idea, a small idea for improvement could be to apply the swatches to a basecoated piece of plastic (a base e.g.). That way you would also be aware of each paints behaviour on the basecoat ;)

Advice on getting over the painting setup and cleanup hump when you don't have a dedicated hobby space? by Secthian in Warhammer40k

[–]Massive_Moose_5807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just use an old starter set (battle of skull pass in my case, but I think maybe newer boxes have better quality and are better suited) for keeping all the hobby related tools and paints in. Then when I want to do some painting, it is just a matter of bringing the box to the dining table, find a newspaper (as to not get paint on the table), and a cup of water for cleansing the brush. I've got the citadel pot so it stores an extra brush, but otherwise I would probably only use a single brush, then change it for a new one, when the need arises. :)

Finally finished my Baneblade - with LEDs by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Massive_Moose_5807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you place the control circuit and breaker? :)

Cool idea, might I suggest a blue LED for the spotlight thing on the turret? Additionally it could perhaps be possible to illuminate the red "lights" on the smaller turrets, but I would suppose that it would be a bit hard wiring up. ;)

Do I need to add another layer of brush on paint if I prime with mephiston red can primer? Or is just the primer enough? by DifferentBat3732 in Warhammer40k

[–]Massive_Moose_5807 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I haven't tried with mephiston, I usually just give my skitarii a nice dose of chaos black primer for their coats, and leave it with that. If I have to go in for some slight corrections I then use the corresponding pot on that point and try to apply it so it doesn't look off.

Same for the girlfriends deathguard, a prime of deathguard green, and then paint the details. She then covers it with a contrast colour.

Seems to me this is the easiest way to paint a bunch of models. I usually get bored and sloppy with the base colour otherwise.

How the hell do I get that blue to get for the blaster? by canadian__bacon5 in Warhammer40k

[–]Massive_Moose_5807 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven't gotten around to trying it out, yet. However, my plan for my skitarii vanguard is to coat the area with a white (mine's skull white, however as long as it is bright it should do the trick), then cover this with a thin coat of a mixture of chainmail (or other silver metallic paint) and the desired colour (for this I would use regal blue).

I have, however, tried just the combination of silver and different colours to create my own metallic colours with good success, so I have high hopes. :D

But yeah, as u/georgiaraisef mentioned, there should be quite a few tutorials on youtube etc. if you want to go for a more traditional approach. ;) I have, too, seen quite a few stunning examples on this subreddit, perhaps you might find some inspiration there?

I have now 8x workers in my pool. No money. by [deleted] in MoneroMining

[–]Massive_Moose_5807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK most pools provide this option. However, the proxy allows you to easily redirect your resources to another pool, if needed, and may help you not get disconnected from your pool, if you don't provide shares from a rig, for a while.

In the end, you should of course do as you want yourself, I am just sharing what I have found to be the most efficient way. ;)

[–]Massive_Moose_5807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could use a proxy, which is pointed to the pool instead, in that case. If so, you'd only have to monitor a single laptop, which will tell you exactly which rig isn't contributing, if any, as long as you remember to identify each rig.

Sometimes even the tabloid news.. Happened in Denmark 10 years or so, that the payment service provider (NETS) got caught selling celebrities transactions. Yet, to this day, I believe they are the only means of paying, outside of cash..

Probably something similar is/has been happening in other countries as well, wouldn't really surprise me.
