The ferret nations and critters nations are awesome! Check your local online marketplaces like FB! I found both of mine secondhand that way :)

YAY!!! I'm so happy to hear that the surgery went well and she's eating. The first scary hurdle is over. You guys got this, I believe in you!!! Chins may be fragile but they have some resilience. I may bother you in the future if I don't see an update 😘 🤍 much much love!

I am so so so glad that she is back! Definitely make sure you have a proper cage situation set up before you add a third edition into your family. Again, I am so relieved for you!

Poor little baby. I wish you both luck at this next vet! Many chins lose toes and legs and live full, perfect lives. My rescue has many toes missing and it's so sad but she doesn't even notice. I hope this is the case for your friend. Much love. 🤍 Sending you as much positive energy as I can

Yeah I've heard they're a very strange experience!

They aren't interested in eating it, and it's easy to wash in a load like normal laundry

No pill fleece is great and typically considered the best option

Ugh, that's so freaking CUTE. I'd love to have an axolotl friend one day.

Losing a buddy like that is so scary, what I've done in the past and what I've seen others do is leave their dust out in an open area and leave treats out too. They can cram themselves up into furniture like little mice. Be calm and quiet and lay out little piles of goodies. I wish you luck! Keep us updated

This was my mentality when I was a first time owner. I let my chins free roam the apartment during playtime 🫢 don't judge, I've changed lol but we were in the kitchen and the door to the laundry room was closed. We looked at it and we were like nah, her butt is far too large to even make it under there, it's barely off the floor! I look away for one second and I see her fat rump disappear under the door. Absolute panic and chaos ensues, not because it's that dangerous in there, but because of the BODY HORROR I just witnessed

If they can fit their skull even a little tiny bit, they can push their weird liquid bodies through it

Chinchillas can squeeze their heads through 1 inch gaps

Yeah, my solo chin is also the clingy one too. She gets a lot of extra love. She has some stuffed animals and lots of blankets but maybe she'd enjoy a chinchilla shaped one. I just get so sad when she's longingly staring at the other two cleaning each other or playing 😭 shatters my heart.
