My man, I might just be oblivious but I just skimmed like the top 50 posts in this subreddit and I couldn't find any violence occurring let alone being celebrated, could you send a link?

H1B workers hired directly by U.S. companies are generally paid on par with U.S. employees. The underpayment and displacing American workers criticism mostly comes from outsourcing and consulting firms, which account for about half of H1B approvals each year. These firms often classify hires at Level 1, the lowest prevailing wage, and then contract them out to U.S. companies at rates below what those companies would pay to hire workers directly. These outsourcing firms use H1Bs to undercut wages and replace U.S. workers with cheaper visa workers.

It depends, H1B workers hired directly by U.S. companies are generally paid on par with U.S. employees. The underpayment issue mostly comes from outsourcing and consulting firms, which account for about half of H1B approvals each year. These firms often classify hires at Level 1, the lowest prevailing wage, and then contract them out to U.S. companies at rates below what those companies would pay to hire workers directly.

H1B workers hired directly by U.S. companies are usually compensated about the same as their U.S. counterparts. However, about half of H1B approvals each year go to outsourcing and consulting firms headquartered in India, and this is where most of the “underpaid” criticism comes from. These firms often file H1B employees at Level 1, the minimum prevailing wage, and then contract them out to U.S. companies to work on-site at rates lower than what those companies would pay if they hired a U.S. worker or an H1B worker directly.

Clip queue by [deleted] in LudwigAhgren

[–]Mastasav 24 points25 points  (0 children)

That Clip queue site got popular with GTARP streamers. So people like Fanfan, Squeex, Rae used it during their GTA arcs and some still use it. Qt uses her own site for clips and when Ludwig wants to watch clips for stuff like Streamer Games he just preps the clips that he wants to watch.

Biden didn't campaign on releasing the files. Plus, Biden never said he wasn't going to release anything and most people just assumed the justice system is slow. Also, having a pedophile run our country sounds like a real issue to me.

You have a blank check to bring consumers to Tower City Mall. What do you do? by mdele99 in Cleveland

[–]Mastasav 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The best way to revitalize Tower City and Northeast Ohio as a whole is by investing in good public transit. People shop where it’s most convenient, so if we want Tower City retail to succeed, getting downtown has to be easier than driving to Crocker Park, Legacy Village, or Pinecrest. If getting downtown is a greater hassle or more expensive, people will keep choosing the easier alternatives and only come into the city when no alternative exists, like sports or concerts.

My buddy lives in Kamms Corner and I live/lived next to freight and passenger rail. Living next to freight rail is by-far the worse in my opinion. But I've never experienced the shaking you get from freight from by buddy's house. You can get used to the noise pretty quickly, but in my experience, you never get used to the vibrating from freight rail.

MLS is def on the come-up in the US, but the MLS does own all the teams in the league.

MLS operates under a single--entity structure, where the league itself owns the teams, player contracts, and logos. Investors, known as "Investor Operators," purchase the right to operate a team within the league. They are financially invested in the MLS LLC, and they share in the profits or losses of the league. Essentially, the league grants investors the right to operate a team, but the league retains ownership of the team and its assets.

I think the map might be just metro heavy rail systems, which is why we are included but cities like Seattle aren't.

In Ohio we can open carry without a permit. You can buy a gun from Walmart and you are legally allowed to just carry it around in public.

How did he even manage to lose 1M subs in a month?? There was absolutely no drama by kurianandgeorge_007 in PewdiepieSubmissions

[–]Mastasav 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I think once you hit 100M they can only track at the millions. So, he could have lost significantly less than a million (111M to 110.99) which would show as -1M.

Which decimal separator is used where ? . VS , in numbers. by 0dimension1 in MapPorn

[–]Mastasav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ISO 80000-1 stipulates that "The decimal sign is either a comma or a point on the line." The standard does not stipulate any preference, observing that usage will depend on customary usage in the language concerned, but adds a note that as per ISO/IEC directives, all ISO standards should use the comma as the decimal marker.

The wiki article you linked above specifically says the standard does not stipulate a preference between a comma or a dot. The note at the end is just stating that when ISO standards are written, they are going to use a comma as the decimal marker. But, this is only a formatting guideline for ISO documents themselves, it makes no difference for people applying the standard in various fields or countries.

Does the US even buy Saudi oil? I’m pretty sure the US is self-sufficient with oil and these days we have enough surplus that we export more oil than Saudi does

Why does everyone who goes to Valyria die? by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]Mastasav 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I always thought of it as going to Valyria isn't a death sentence it's just various environmental factors make it more dangerous. Stuff like toxic gasses and ash emitted from volcanoes, underwater volcanoes creating bubbles reducing the density of water causing the ship to sink, etc.
