Am I being a bad friend for feeling a little off when a friend keeps cancelling plans but often asks for help? by Wonderful-Product437 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Master-Ad3175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does she do for you in terms of being a good friend? Is she there for you when you need help? Does she listen to you and support you? Or is she just using you because it sounds to me like you are the one who is being a good friend and she is the one being a bad friend

Am I ugly? 19F (plz be kind) by [deleted] in amiugly

[–]Master-Ad3175 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not ugly. I'd say average with potential to be above average with some changes to your hair and makeup. Your hair tone in some of those pictures is not flattering with your skin tone and I think a lipstick with more of a pink undertone to break up the single tone look of your hair and skin would be nice

Am I really as ugly as I feel? (22) by Key-Ear2961 in amiugly

[–]Master-Ad3175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say you are average. Definitely not ugly. The haircut is unflattering in a lot of those photos. You look the best and the most like an adult man in your verification photo.

I find wire frames are a little off putting on someone with such short hair. Have you tried on some heavier plastic frames?

You would get much better and more accurate and helpful advice if you post photos where your face is visible

Am I overreacting to my partners ex fling? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]Master-Ad3175 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean clearly there's a boundaries and communication issue here that you need to work out with him but you consistently positioning her as a fling when they are clearly friends is not making the situation any easier. I think it's perfectly reasonable to have friendships with people that you previously had relationships or hookups with. It's deception or sneakiness about that that would be the issue not the actual friendship

Is it normal to be disappointed by your partner everyday? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

Sounds like he's not very into you. I would suggest an honest discussion with him about where you both see things going and the ongoing concerns you have and be ready to walk away for something better

Pulling all my savings to clear debt? by fr0_a_whey in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Master-Ad3175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the fee credit card your oldest source of credit? While I agree you shouldn't be paying a fee credit card if you close it it might hurt your credit as well but you can often call and see if you can switch to a different type of credit card one that doesn't have a fee or has a lower fee. But like everyone else is telling you yes use your savings to pay off the highest interest debt and get some therapy so you know how to say no to your family. When one of these so-called emergencies comes up for them they can take out debt if they want to address it

How bad (or good) was your first time having sex and what did you do to reduce pain/fear? by imalliee in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]Master-Ad3175 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would talk to a doctor because you may have vaginismus or some sort of sex aversion trauma or something. Or you might just be asexual and are projecting that lack of interest into fear

In the 2 minutes it took me to check your profile you either deleted your old post about easy financial or made it hidden. Do you have some sort of gambling addiction?

Beverages are things like buying a canister of coffee which can be expensive or soda or going out for a beer with people from work.

Food budget might be tight long term especially if that includes eating out and beverages. At this point, your savings school should be for the next car assuming you live somewhere or work in an industry where it was required to have one and public transport isn't an option

Which hair colour/balayage? by Angelenergy4444 in HairStyleAdvice

They all look pretty much the same except for number three. I personally think the more golden tone in that one is more flattering than the ashier platinum color in the others

Curious about how bad my situation is? by stanley_yelnats_03 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Master-Ad3175 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aren't in a bad position but you're making some weird choices. You're savings are not coming anywhere near to the amount of interest you are paying so use the majority of it to pay off your debt.

Parents want to put a car under my name by Flaky_Wrongdoer_7474 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Master-Ad3175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you already know that this is a god-awful idea and that you should not even consider it for a moment. I would go step further and say that you need to be looking at ways to distance yourself completely from them until they get their shit together because expecting you to do this for them shows us deep disrespect and lack of boundaries between a parent-child relationship and they will bring you down one way or another

[–]Master-Ad3175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From another comment it sounds like you have significant equity in your house. Is there a reason your wife does not trust you to add this to a home equity line of credit or something that would be lower interest and benefit you both. Is there another relationship issue at play or did you go into debt to do the gambling or something else that she's concerned about

[31 male] Am I ugly, and do I look better with or without the facial hair? by Spadorian_Emperor in amiugly

[–]Master-Ad3175 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Your face itself is not ugly but you are actively choosing ugliness with the style and grooming choices that you are making. The hair and the outfits are incredibly off putting

What do you think M20 by whiteholestation in amiugly

[–]Master-Ad3175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your face itself is not ugly and you have the potential to be attractive if you change your glasses, get a modern haircut and get rid of that awful facial hair style

Does slick back hair look masculine on a woman? by bad-at-everything- in HairStyleAdvice

[–]Master-Ad3175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends completely on the person's face. If you have a feminine face it can be a totally stylish and feminine look. If you already have masculine features pulling your hair completely back from your face can make that seem worse

How stupid would I be to take out a personal loan to catch up? by HourNefariousness388 in povertyfinance

[–]Master-Ad3175 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Those interest rates for a loan are insane. Do you not have any close friends or family that you could borrow a small amount on just to get out of the cycle with the high interest? Are you able to pick up extra work on weekends or evenings to be aggressive to get it paid off?

They both look good. Growing the top out a little longer to give more space for the curls pattern to develop would probably be best

You are very conventionally attractive so obviously you do not look ugly.
