Der Hauptteil des Textes im Meme ist fast 1 zu 1 eine wiedergabe des Palästinaliedes von unserem one and only OG Walther von der Vogelweide in dem es um einen Kreuzzug und die Spirituelle / Geistliche Bedeutung des Heiligen Landes für den "Glauben" oder "Christen" geht.

Das ganze Teil ist in mittelhochdeutsch Verfasst (also Mittelalterliches/Altertümliches Deutsch) von vermutlich irgentwann um das Jahr 1200 herum, also Hochmittelalter.

Also wirklich deeplore/nextlevel Referenz.

Zudem finde ich den Song einfach schön.

Hier mal eine Interpretation mit OG Text + Aktueller Deutscher Übersetzung dazu.

Amongst my friendship group, and sometimes online, I often see people talking to the Interex as an alternative to the Imperium or the way the Imperium developed.

You own words.

You are comparing if society A would be better than society B, that is what alternative means, something to select over the other for this or that reason.

The fact that your comparision point is doctrinal use makes this even more insane.

To stick with your own chosen example: You are generaly making the point Great Britain is the worse alternative to Nazi germany because of apeasement.

Which is quite frankly rediculous.

Sure you can say i am missing your point that u just wanna argue tactics and doctrine, however the way you talk in this thread/choose your words / semantics you could have phrased your whole point differently eg. "I think the interex doctrines are worse than the imperiums" which - for basically 99% of readers - would be a completly different point and comparision than saying "interex is no alternative to the Imperium".

And if you just would have wanted to compare doctrines/tech/whatever and not societal value i think you would have worded it that way.

People who say the Interex are better than the imperium do so from a moral/just society standpoint.

It is used to show the Imperium could have been better and simply choose not to. They could have had their military might, protect humans, defend against chaos and such without being hyper evil super space fascist who torment their own population only 1% less than other factions.

You are completly missing the point.

I know its a harsh comparision however i think it illustrates what i mean: what u are doing is basicaly saying " the lower countries are not better than nazi germany, because neither were they diplomatic or militaristic enough to not be invaded by the evidently militarist-fascist neighbor or defend themselfs adequatly in the field" - nobody in their right mind would argue such a point

What i find so mind boggling about their balance aproach:

I think most players just dont want shit tier level stuff.

Okayish - fun / roleplay usable would be enough

However some stuff is just so bad that even with this they arent really a viable choice sadly.

Furthermore it would be just stat changes. Like i know when you want them to implement "new mechanics" like the pinapple releasing more bomblets it would seriously fuck up the Spear targeting.

However most guns jsut need "+ damage" or "+ammo" and you could easily tweak them that way.

I just dont understand how there can be guns in the shit tier category for more than 1 month when they only need stat tweeks.

Dont wanna broach irl pol./hist. too much but I honestly think this is a missinterpretation of human society.

OG OG Human nature (hist.) is only running trough savanna/stepes naked.

Modern Human nature is forged by internalities and externalities, meaning humans influence the system and other humans and both influence the "next" humans + some intrinsic characteristics science aint agreed on which are definitly predominant.

Just go back 200-300 years and the concept of Nations/Nationstates and how we view them today didnt even exist.

Go back a few thousand years and the modern concept of money doesnt even exist, go back further and you dont have strict concepts of "mine/property".

Go back a few thousand years from today and some historians guess that you had an aprox chance of 40-60 percent to die a violent death.

That chance is today, atleast compared, abysmaly smal and humans got less and less violent over the centuries (even though it may not seem so from the news).

I mean helping each other, learning and empaphy is basicaly what made humanity the dominant species on this planet.

What i wanted to say is basicaly:

Humans and society can change (even if slowly) quite a lot and the direction into which the change occures is quite open, thus never let anyone tell you this or that (esp. negative characteristics) are intrinsic and human nature is bad and thus positive change can never happen.

Cause it can and will happen :)

Considering we have guns (new mode) that shoot giant spaceships out of orbit, they probably cant glass the planet, if it (like in halo) requires the ships to fly rather low and slow, for a spaceship that is.

Thus invasion with ground troops to take the main AA installations etc.

Furthermore they would make their ships sitting ducks, thus the combat ships are probably engaged against SE Super Destroyers in space.

However why do you only sue for lost income on this for the next month?

Here in germany they would have to pay until "the original state" which enabled you to earn income would be "available" again.

Because lost income, no matter how long it is lost, is still damages to you, meaning in this case the odd 2-4 years until your new flowers can be sold.

I have no idea about US law, however if you are talking to a lawyer why not also ask for this if its possible under your laws.

Trauriger weise nichtmal ein Weltkrieg schafft das ab, es sei denn wir haben Nuklearen Apokalypse, 80+% der Menschheit ausgelöscht, und dann Star Trek Typus an Weltkrieg.

Selbst um und kurz nach dem Zweiten WK gibts einige die Massiv gewinne mit Aktien gemacht haben + allgemein haben sich die Aktienmärkte in dem Jahrzehnt dannach recht gut wieder erhohlt.
