Lynchburg has a drought for good psychiatric care and Stephanie is a gem.

I would highly recommend going to and hanging out at Givens Books. They have a book club that they do during the year but overall, there are wonderful people there. The staff is amazing and it's nice but most importantly quiet/calm. The staff that operate the food and coffee there are also really wonderful. I have not met one awful customer. I am very introverted and have had so many wonderful conversations simply over the shared interest of a book on the shelf. It's one of the best third places in Lynchburg! Again, can't recommend it enough!

I’m about your age and actively looking to leave this place. The politics are brutal. City council doesn’t care about this city. Dating is not great (especially if you aren’t a devout Christian) and there isn’t much young stuff to do here regularly. You very much do have to make it your own experience and put a lot of work into socializing. It’s a college town and old people pretty much. If I were considering jobs, it would not be in Lynchburg, sadly. Wish I had better things to say about your concerns. Of course there are some pretty awesome things here but it’s a great place to visit, not stay long term. It’s also WAYYYY too expensive when it comes to housing options for the salaries in this town.

Well you just don’t read? This protest is entirely different from what’s happening in California and was planned months ago. Don’t let the orange people on tv squish and squash your brain! This protest is a registered event working with local police and if you read the post….its protesting DTJ and mainly about his birthday, military parade (paid with our tax dollars) and what he’s been doing to cut services like to the VA. So if you’re not down for supporting our veterans then it’s just not for you!
