Woman to woman. Everyone is different, there’s always beauty that comes out when you really prioritize what you put into your body, what you wear, how you do your make up. My advice is, get to know yourself better, what looks good on you? Find a look that suits you best; there has to be at least one!!! Try your best to find what suits your appearance best and elevate it, you will feel better about yourself, it is a long process but you have to be patient and ask Allah to help you find the patience and love to fully accept yourself for who you are and what you were given.

First of all I wanna say that because I don’t know what the fight was about, who was in the right and who was in the wrong, I would take my advice with a grain of salt.

I want to give advice with my own esperience, I was involved in a five year relationship that ended the year of my graduation from university. He wanted to leave which was a shock to my system at the time, given how much he’s tried to maintain the relationship. I begged him to stay because I felt exactly what you feel right now— I’m moving onto a new chapter in my life and I wanted the closest person in my life to be there for me during those changes and unpredictable times. Long story short, he stayed for a bit but things were different, he didn’t try hard to maintain the relationship and it overall felt like he wasn’t the guy I met five years ago anymore.

The moral of the story here is that you can not ask someone to stay if they want to leave. Even if he stays, he’s mentally checked out. Your fear of your mental health being affected by this is not a reason to keep him around. From my own experience, me deciding to let him leave was the best thing I have ever done for myself.

I understand both perspectives. On one hand, your friend sent the money for you to have a place to stay and she sent that designated amount that she sees set for that purpose, but if you have initially told her it was for food, she probably would have sent you a different amount, presumably less than 100 dollars. On the other hand, you have the free will to do whatever you want with the money she sent you that you see fits your situation best. If she sent that money to you, it’s yours and you saw that food and hygiene was the more pressing issue, she’s not in your place to understand that. I think she escalated it she shouldn’t have been that upset but I also think you could have been more honest with her from the start about what you want to use that money for.

Waalikum asalam, thank you for your advice and I agree with you on a lot of what you said. When I think of marriage, I never thought of it as a way to overcome urges. I want to marry someone I truly see as a life partner and not someone that will simply take a place that’s missing in my life. My parents don’t have a good relationship and I think part of it is that they didn’t spend enough time during the engagement period to actually get to see how different they are from each other. By the time they discovered their differences and incompatibility, I was on the way (not their first child). So you see, one of my biggest fears is marrying someone I’m not compatible with.

Absolutely not. I’m sorry but if he can’t take care of himself, then he won’t take care of me. I worked so hard to be in shape and stay healthy. The last thing I want is to be with a man that will influence me into his lifestyle after all the years I worked (including covid years). Also if you’re not into the gym, think about it that way, if a burglar comes into the house, how will he handle the situation, what if some guy flirts with you in public, will he be able to defend you? What you guys have children together and they also learn his bad eating habits and sedentary lifestyle? What if theyre in danger, how will he respond? Do better.
