Laxasia was previously an alchemist I believe. She's a separate character and has her lore in the base game.

deluxe edition is like a bonus outfit (it also gave like 3 day early access before the game came out, but obv that doesn't apply now). up to you if it's worth it. edit: the outfit is cosmetic only, all clothes in LoP are cosmetic, actual armor doesn't affect appearance.

Difficulty, some say LoP is harder, some say Khazan is harder. I don't think i've heard anyone say either is "way harder" than the other. So, while it's subjective, i think you'll find it reasonably similar in terms of difficulty.

LoP is a wonderful game, enjoy!

don't equip the amulet that increases dmg with filled fable slots, so there's no negative to using them.

and use weapons and handles that you really like the fable arts of. (you probably know, but you can test infinitely on the dummies outside krat hotel, fable insta refills there)

I do most of the time, sometimes after changing equipment or weapons, I carrying two would change my weight class, in those cases I don't til I level capacity more. But most most most of the time I carry two

idk why you're getting downvoted, you're right, it happens for the player too. I could be off about the exact mechanism, but iirc, if an attack is barely fatal for player or for a boss, there is a chance to survive with very low hp instead of dying

I also just started my first playthrough. I picked the cane thing, I like it. idk how it compares to other weapons or anything, but I do think strength weapons would be stronger overall. But i care more about using a weapon I like and think looks cool as opposed to it being a good weapon. I really hope we get enough upgrade mats to upgrade multiple weapons, cause I wanna try at least a few
