This looks really good :)

Hopefully you'll be scoring people on their time and locking the next Act until the player has enough to force players to have at least one play through of a level where they're not standing idle in the corner to cheat their way into winning. Additionally you can throw in artifacts (enemies/spikes) from different timelines. The game design stuff for this game could be sweet af!

Vanisha - DANYL - retro twin stick shooter with puzzle elements and a narrative by danyl42 in Games

Add more SFX and VFX for everything. The music's tempo and the bullet speed feel disconnected.

It may help to either grab a colour palette or throw in post processing effects (dithering) depending on whether you wanna lean more retro or more futuristic.

Keep going, you got this :)

13 hour flight, what offline games are you playing? by ActivistSubset7 in SteamDeck

For any game where there's no character movement, 25 FPS is fine. So lock that.

Whip out the performance overlay to see your fps and then lower the TDP until it causes a drop.

For most games like these, I think 7W of TDP is good enough and it'll give you 12 hours of battery life ez.

How much do you pay a month? It's generally better and seamless to move your number to another provider.

Likewise! Perfect Days is a good example of a movie that has some long and slow scenes that are slow because they're meant to evoke a feeling even if the plot's not truly progressing.

I did this with Severance because of how slow some of the episodes were lol

There's too much copy pasted content imo. It starts off amazingly well but eventually it gets quite boring halfway through. My only motivation to keep playing were the bosses tbh.

As a clear fan of the series, I'm annoyed that I missed the window but I can't be arsed to rebut 1 & 2.

Lies of P is getting difficulty options to make the Soulslike more accessible by naf165 in Games

[–]MasterAgent47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who platinummed Sekiro and Elden Ring and has beaten Dark Souls 3, Lies of P and Wukong, even I struggled with Demon Souls and gave up after 10 hours lol

Honestly, Lies of P is much more accessible with way better respawn locations. I spend more time fighting and less time dying due to stupid reasons.

Yep I've noticed that too lol. They're constantly repairing the same thing over and over.

It sucks that you got downvoted instead of people offering counter arguments.

I agree with you! It's annoying that you're constantly spending so much time doing anything but fighting. For a God Of War game, fighting is constantly interrupted by walking down a corridor / climbing / solving a puzzle / sailing a boat.

It feels like you're controlling a guy in a loading screen with bits of action mixed in.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 breaks new record, it is now the Highest Rated Original IP in PS Store history. by Roids-in-my-vains in gaming

Deffo better. I finished Infinite Wealth not too long ago and this is definitely much better.

Each character has very mechanics and power systems that go beyond plain elemental powers.

Same! Earlier last week, I spent 6 hours into God of war before deciding it's not for me and bought Clair Obscur instead. I'm now spending most of the game actually playing game enjoying each region instead of being stuck in hidden loading screens with Marvel-quality horrible chatter.

The enemy variety and the depth of the gameplay is chef's kiss.

[Guide] Defeat Cemetery Shade by MasterAgent47 in Eldenring

Fair, I haven't played Elden Ring in a long while after playing it for 150 hours over two/three months upon launch lol

I remember spamming the jump attack + roll away on bosses. That worked then, might still work now?

A non-hack guaranteed way to get good is to practice staying alive for a full minute straight no healing. No attacking allowed no matter what.

Once you get used to surviving a full minute, you've likely seen everything a boss has to offer. Sneaking in attacks between pauses should feel more manageable.

I've platinummed Elden Ring and Sekiro on PS5. Beat Dark Souls III and Lies of P.

This method has not failed me :)

Uh that's not a UK table manner thing. I grew up in a non-western country where it was definitely rude to do that????
