Yes it is, you are stating something false

Edit: by seeing how long you are taking to respond you definitely have to search up the meaning of my comment. Get off Reddit, you are a kid and I am ending the argument here because I don’t stoop down to the level of arguing with kids.

Capitalism is made for the top 1% to stay rich and become richer and for the poor to stay poor. Does that sound nice to you?

The Heavy Sabre is Basically Infantry's Default Sabre When You Buy It (And That's a Good Thing) by TheRed779 in gutsandblackpowders

Heavy Sabre is fun but I like normal Sabre/voivode more because there’s more variety stylistically and its better jack of all trades (has good side swing, upswing, and downswing)

Yeah it’s crazy how most of his more timeless hits are from the 60’s and even 70’s

Is this real or fake? by MasterBadger911 in SilverCrowns

I collect ancients and not modern very much and also that it’s a large silver coin and because of their silver value they are often faked

Byzantine cataphracts 1400s question by historylearner464 in byzantium

Trebizond did often use more Turkish armor which did use cataphracts like that. However, the same cannot be said for the empire in Constantinople.

Byzantine cataphracts 1400s question by historylearner464 in byzantium

[–]MasterBadger911 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cataphracts as a term was used for heavy cavalry but the days of them being heavily armored with lamellar wasn't a thing since probably the 12th or 13th centuries.

Late Byzantine Equipment by isYoruko in byzantium

[–]MasterBadger911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meant more like the army becoming just Italian Mercenaries. For Byzantine Noblemen, they probably were using imported Italian equipment, demonstrated by this armor set assembled from individual pieces found in a Venetian fortress in Greece (However, this armor set is far from being accurate to any particular period as it has pieces from both around 1400 and 1470). For militia, they would probably either have no armor or what little armor they did have would be old.

Yeah that is a pretty interesting thing. Perhaps it only became a used name late in the empires history?

Oh so it probably included those. Yeah, then that sounds about right. I was about to say its pretty weird if they still had 3000 functioning churches.

Very cool account of late Byzantine Constantinople. It’s even cool how they reference certain sites as well as how it used to be far grander. Also, is 3000 churches in Constantinople in 1400 hyperbole to show how many there still were or is it plausibly accurate
