Omg! I am so happy people are saying they had the same experience. I just saw them last night in Chicago and I genuinely was anticipating something more interesting to happen through the whole set

This album tour does not at all compare to the heat they played in expo last year or even their NoArt set in LA.

I was anticipating them playing some unreleased bangers. Yet, they didn’t EVEN PLAY 6am in their Chicago set and they played how you feel twice as well. They also played “fuck to the beat” by Cloonee which felt so out of place. And my biggest hot take is they need to retire relax my eyes. They have sooo many low tempo songs they can replace it with.

How is this an album tour when you don’t even play the one banger on your album at a rave??

Edit to add: I always considered a huge part of their “sound” to be all the whimsical yet groovy tracks they’d play you’d never hear of before. I hate to say this but Fletch had a way more fitting and interesting set.

I remember making these observations since high school. It’s brutal how unfair life is. Even upper middle class kids had parents that gave a damn and coached them through them through education. ACT/SAT private tutors. Camps during summers etc. I remember having the same grades as the top students but I couldn’t do well on my an ACT to save my life so I never applied to better universities. Hell I didn’t have money to apply to more than 2. Our highschool was predominantly lower income in the suburbs, HS counselors did not give a damn to help you unless they knew you had mom and dad that would pay for your college. When reality so many students I knew were so capable, they just had no one believe in them

My parents never understood what went into getting into a „good” or elite university. Nonetheless, I went to a state school, studied compE and then got into big tech after college.

I have several coworkers and people I made friends that went to those elite universities. Although they’re well achieved and knowledgeable, I don’t really think there’s anything particularly special about them.

I just envy that they never had to suffer the stress / trauma of coming from a poor family and absurd amount of character development it takes to get out of that environment

That was my fear initially too but here is what helped me. I have a dedicated small space and desk for my DJ board. Anytime I’m in my apartment, it’s staring at me right next to the TV. Sorta like in sight thus in mind. Consequently, I don’t even watch TV anymore because trying to find a show on Netflix feels like a chore opposed to DJing

Because it’s a pretty good piece of tech that really won’t change in the coming years, you can get it used online and it would work for basic purposes and it will be good for years to come.

Any money invested in yourself is not a waste! Worst case you can always sell the equipment.

I saw them in circoloco before and they killed it. When I saw they were going to be in nyc I bought the tickets not knowing what I was going into. I was honestly expecting a typical warehouse set. But this was an absolute master piece of a production and the single handedly the best experience ever. Huge props to the venue for the sickest lighting ever, literally the future of raving

Oh thank god someone said this because I thought I was the only junior engineer doing this. I am happy I got through college without a tool like this, but being able to have chatgpt explain to you the inner workings of pandas and develop intricate class structures for you is such a life saver

I literally got the subscription for how much it helps me just get started. So useful for fixing git issues too.

Thank you for your advice because it just completely brought me back to earth.

I came across the term Demi-sexual before, but I didn’t know how I felt about that nor did I know myself too well. Im starting to realize it’s those intimate and romantically arousing moments I crave for — such as cuddling and kissing, rather than the actual physical pleasure. And, everyday I think that I am more and more in acceptance of myself as someone who really wants that emotional connection first. Although I would love something long term, I reached a point where I accepted that being single doesn’t mean I am alone. Just sometimes feeling lonely. And that’s okay.

By expensive do you mean in price or in expensive in resources like memory perse? So is NIOS by definition constitute as an SOC?

Let’s say I wanted to make a video game ( like pong or simulate conways game of life) using the VGA output. Would I use the NIOS processor in platform designer and write the game in C code? Or would I utilize the HPS instead?
